Title: Grace – The Road Home

Passage: Romans 5:8 & Luke 15:11-32

Announcements

  • Announcement: Church office will be closed on 7/6 (Tue) to make up the day-off due to Independence Day was on Sunday of 7/4.
  • Construction: 1) Church is planning to renovate the men’s and women’s restrooms in the main sanctuary and English chapel. The estimated cost is $150,000. We invite you to pray for sufficient funds and the successful completion of the remodeling process. If you would like to give a special offering for this project, please put “Building” in the notes. 2) Until 6/27, we have collected nearly $50,000 for the fund including the fixtures that will be donated. Please pray for the fulfillment of the remaining $100,000.
  • Midweek Prayer Meeting: We will start a new prayer ministry every Wednesday evening from June. We sincerely invite all our sisters and brothers to join our midweek prayer every Wednesday from 7:30‐8:30pm (Zoom Meeting ID: 810 0333 4883 Passcode: prayer). We look forward to connecting with our church family through worship, scripture reading, and prayers altogether. Feel free to reach out to Pastor Jacky if you have any questions.
  • Children Congregation: 1) There is still one spot left for PAID staff (college students or above). Please contact CC Director Ruth (ext.16 or rkuo@efcla.org) if you have been fully vaccinated and are willing to serve on Friday/Saturday evenings during fellowship time. 2) CC is also recruiting Sunday School teachers and helpers for the fall (September to November). 3) CC will host a meeting for all parents on 7/18 (Sun) from 1‐2pm on Zoom. Please stay tuned for the meeting information for participation.
  • Recruitment: We are looking for advisors and helpers to join our ministries to bless and inspire our college, high school, and middle school students. Feel free to reach out if you feel called and would like to know more about it.

Prayer Requests

Pray for Our Church (EFCLA)

  • Pray for Worship Ministries. Pray for our worship teams. Pray that all the worship team members would have a good relationship with the Lord, and in unity, they would lead congregations to worship the Lord.
  • Pray for Personal Spiritual Growth. Pray that everyone would experience personal spiritual growth by having daily quiet time with the Lord through scripture reading, meditation, and prayer.
  • Pray for the Sick. Pray for those who are sick. Pray that the Lord would heal them and restore their health.

Pray for the world

  • Pray for Vaccination. The authorities are encouraging teens of 12 years and older to receive their vaccine in order to prevent the Delta COVID vari-ant from further spreading. Pray that most people older than 12-year-old would receive their vaccine soon.
  • Pray for the Abkhaz. Originally from the Caucasus Mountains region of Russia and Georgia, the Abkhaz converted from Christianity to Islam in the fifteenth century when the Ottoman Turks conquered them. By the 1800s, Russia had overtaken the region and imposed Orthodox Christianity on the people. Thus, many sought refuge in Turkey, but those who stayed in Rus-sia embraced Christianity. Pray for the Abkhaz in Russia to strategically reach out to their brothers and sisters in Turkey with the gospel.
