Announcements
- Child Care: From 8/1, church will provide child care for age 3 to 11 (5th grade) from 11am to 12:30pm. Parents that come for physical worship can bring your children to the children’s worship hall on the 2nd floor. Precautions such as wearing masks and social distance will apply.
- PO Updates: 1) Pastoral Retreat will be held from 8/2-4 (Mon-Wed) at Restoration Agape Christian Camp. 2) Pastor Benson Wang will receive his retinal detachment repair on 8/6. He will be on sick leave after the surgery for two weeks (8/7-20). Please pray for him.
- Construction: 1) The restroom renovation is to start in September and accomplish in October. Please pray for the project. 2) Up to date, we still need fifty-some thousand dollars for the project. Please pray for the provision from God for this project. When you make a donation for this project, please denote “building” in the memo.
- Midweek Prayer Meeting: We will start a new prayer ministry every Wednesday evening from June. We sincerely invite all our sisters and brothers to join our midweek prayer every Wednesday from 7:30‐8:30pm (Zoom Meeting ID: 810 0333 4883 Passcode: prayer). We look forward to connecting with our church family through worship, scripture reading, and prayers altogether. Feel free to reach out to Pastor Jacky if you have any questions.
- Children Congregation: CC is recruiting Sunday school teachers for 4th-5th grade class in the fall (September to November). If you have been fully vaccinated, welcome to contact CC Director Ruth (ext.16).
- Recruitment: We are looking for advisors and helpers to join our ministries to bless and inspire our college, high school, and middle school students. Feel free to reach out if you feel called and would like to know more about it.

Prayer Requests
Pray for Our Church (EFCLA)
- Pray for Hospitality Ministries. Pray for Elder TT and deacon Sam, Jenny, Kevin, Joe, Esther, and Charlie. Pray that the Lord would use the Chinese and English hospitality teams to welcome every newcomer to join our church.
- Pray for Student advisers. Pray for our English student advisers, Neil, Jimmy, and Ning, and Mandarin student adviser, Felix. Pray that the Lord would use them to build up the student’s faith, and help them to grow in truth.
- Pray for the Sick. Pray for those who are sick. Pray that the Lord would heal them and restore their health.
Pray for the world
- Pray for the Flood. Recently, Extreme rainfall has caused severe casualties and property loss in China, India, and Western Europe, especially in Zheng Chou, China. Pray that the Lord would stop the extreme weather, comfort the families losing their beloved family and pray for the restoration work after the flood.
- Pray for Maldives. The Maldives ranks 72nd in the World Press Freedom Index. Although this is a major improvement, there is still a long way to go in order to achieve journalistic transparency and safety. The government has historically resorted to severe measures against journalism that opposes them or is deemed insulting to Islam. Pray for protection over journalists and that the Maldives will be a place that is open to the gospel.
