Announcements
- Happiness Group Outreach: The initiation of the outreach ministry will take place from 1-2pm at Small Chapel. We invite all the coworkers that are involved in the ministry to participate.
- Construction: 1) The restroom renovation has begun this week and is projected to finish in October. 2) Up to date, we still need fifty-some thousand dollars for the project. Please pray for the provision from God for this project. When you make a donation for this project, please denote “building” in the memo.
- Children Congregation: 1) Today is the promotion Sunday for the 3rd graders. CC has prepared a brand new Bible for each 3rd grader. 2) Next Sunday (9/26) there will be a background check from 12:30-1:30pm for new coworkers that serve at CC and HarvestLA. 3) 2021-2022 new school year registration has started. Parents with children that are 5th graders or under, please visit the church website (efcla.org) to sign up.
- Personnel: On 9/12, the Church Council has voted to renew the terms of Pastor Johnson Hsieh and Pastor Josh Sun, as well as to offer a pastoral position to Sam Ning to join the ministerial team. Praise the Lord!
- Midweek Prayer Meeting: We will start a new prayer ministry every Wednesday evening from June. We sincerely invite all our sisters and brothers to join our midweek prayer every Wednesday from 7:30‐8:30pm (Zoom Meeting ID: 810 0333 4883 Passcode: prayer). We look forward to connecting with our church family through worship, scripture reading, and prayers altogether. Feel free to reach out to Pastor Jacky if you have any questions.
- Recruitment: We are looking for advisors and helpers to join our ministries to bless and inspire our college, high school, and middle school students. Feel free to reach out if you feel called and would like to know more about it.

Prayer Requests
Pray for Our Church (EFCLA)
- Pray for Children’s Congregation. The children’s onsite service was reopened on September 12. Pray that the Lord would remember the hard work of the deacons, nannies, aids, teachers, and speakers, and strengthen them.
- Pray for the Renovation Project. Pray that the renovation of restrooms in the Main Sanctuary and Worship Hall would be finished by the end of October, and pray that the Lord would provide the fifty plus thousand dollars still needed for the renovation project.
- Pray for Happiness Groups. There are ten to eleven Happiness groups formed so far. Pray that there would be more Happiness groups forms for reaching out to the communities.
- Pray for the Sick. Pray for those who are sick. Pray that the Lord would heal them and restore their health.
Pray for the world
- Pray for Djibouti. Djibouti, one of the smallest nations in Africa, has experienced steady growth in its gross domestic product (DGP) thanks to its strategically located ports. It is a predominantly Muslim nation, with 94 percent of the population adhering to Islam. This makes it hard for the few Christians in Djibouti to congregate or evangelize. Pray for God to empower His people to stand firm in their faith and on the Word amidst persecution.
