Announcements

  1. Congregational Meeting: Thank you all for your participations and feedback during the meeting, pastoral office and church council will work and follow up with relevant departments of our ministries. There are a few suggestions we would like to respond to –
    1) Finance of the year 2021 and Budget of year 2022 has been announced and made available two weeks before the meeting. We will make it more accessible next year.
    2) Our church is now reopened and even though not all the church members are back onsite, all the ministries of our church are ongoing. Therefore, the budget for 2022 is based on the personnel and ministries to the full capacity.
    3) Other items suggested including budget for missions, improvement of media equipment, livestream quality, personnel expense to reflect on living cost, and so on will be evaluated by the relevant departments.
  2. Recruitment: Pastoral office is now recruiting student ministry assistants as a paid position. The job posting is available on tinyurl.com/HLASMA
  3. Children Congregation: CC is hosting Trunk or Treat Hallelujah Carnival from 12:45-2:30pm on 10/31 (Sun) at the church parking lot. We welcome our parents and children to invite friends to come and participate.
  4. 2022 Devotional Materials: Now you can subscribe to the devotional materials for 2022. Living Life (for adults), Sena (for G7-12), and I Love Jesus (for G4-6 and G1-3) are all $72 per year. The deadline is 11/7, so please sign up with your fellowship or small group with your payment. Thank you!
  5. Baptism Class: For those who are considering being baptized on Thanksgiving Sunday (11/21), please reach out to your advisors, fellowship leaders, or pas-tors for more information.
  6. Winter Retreat 2021: HarvestLA is planning a retreat for youth, adults, and families to participate from 12/31/2021 (Fri) to 1/2/2022 (Sun) @ Alpine Meadows Retreat Center in San Bernardino. We plan to live‐stream the Sunday worship service for the Sunday of 1/2/2022 since the majority of the congregation-al leaders will be joining the retreat. We encourage all our church families to sign up for this opportunity to bond. Parents or guardians’ consent is required for participants who are 18 or younger. The cost is $150/person but our church will subsidize $50 for church members so it is $100 for this 3‐day‐2‐night event with 5 meals. Please sign up ASAP so we can plan for transportations earlier on. Registration form: https://tinyurl.com/HLA2021WR

Upcoming: Holy Communion (11/7)

Prayer Requests

Pray for Our Church (EFCLA)

  • Pray for Hospitality Teams. Pray for the Mandarin, Taiwanese, and English hospitality teams. Pray that the Lord would give them the heart to wel-come the newcomers, to follow up with them, and to introduce them to different groups.
  • Pray for Happiness Groups. Pray that the Holy Spirit would move the BESTs to open their hearts accepting Jesus Christ as their personal savior. Pray for the Happiness Group teams. Pray that the Lord would anoint them with joy and power when spreading the Gospel.
  • Pray for the Sick. Pray for those who are sick. Pray that the Lord would heal them and restore their health.

Pray for the world

  • Pray for the US. Pray for our President, Joe Biden. Pray that the Lord would give President Biden together with his advisors and the whole of his administration, the wisdom and grace to shun from any ungodly path, and may they set this nation back on the path of trusting in God.
  • Pray for Estonia. Estonia, located on the Baltic Sea coast, is projected to continue in its stellar economic growth. Though they have a flourishing economy, religious devotion is going the opposite way. More than half of the population consider themselves non-religious. Around 13 percent be-long to the evangelical Lutheran church. Pray for Estonians to be awak-ened spiritually and that the church will be renewed and emboldened by the Holy Spirit to spread the gospel.
