Joanna Tien (Chinese name 田乐 ) was born and raised in Diamond Bar, CA. Her parents are immigrants from China, and she has studied abroad in Guangzhou, China, and Hong Kong. She graduated from UCLA in 2019 with a Bachelor’s in Philosophy, and decided to pursue God’s call towards missions in Japan.
