Title: The All Knowing and Gracious God
Passage: Psalm 25 (NIV)
1 In you, Lord my God,I put my trust. 2 I trust in you; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me. 3 No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause. 4 Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. 5 Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. 6 Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old. 7 Do not remember the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you, Lord, are good… (cont. v.8-22)
Announcements
- Action of Love: Samuel Tsou has been recently diagnosed with colon cancer and unable to work after chemotherapy. We hope that brothers and sisters can help him through the current difficulties. To donate please go to Gofundme.com and search for Tsou (Help Samuel Survive).
- Joint Mission Convention in LA August 2022: “Passion for the Impossible.” Friday August 12- Saturday August 13, 2022. This convention will be held at our church, Evangelical Formosan Church of Los Angeles. Featuring. “The Hudson Taylor Movie Project” “Life Stories of Hudson Taylor” and “Passion for the Impossible.” The event will be held in English with Mandarin Translation. This will also be a Hybrid event.
- Co-Workers Retreat: This will be held on August 20 9am-5pm, please fill out the form with the link provided. https://forms.gle/Rv6Hjc8qCahGA4ZF7. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be provided.
- Children’s Congregation: 1) Hiring child caregivers for Friday and Saturday evenings, as a paid job. 2) Children Sunday School Registration for the 2022-2023 school year will start on 8/1. 3) Recruiting teachers and teaching assistants for the fall quarter (September-November. For details, please contact Director Ruth (x16).
- Renovation: The courtyard next to the parking lot of the church will be renovated in mid-August to better utilize the outdoor space and improve the pavement and drainage issues. The renovation cost is $80,000. Please pray for this project and support financially with a memo: Building Fund.
- Agape Montessori School: There is a job opening for an Assistant Teacher position starting in July. Work Hours: Monday-Friday 9AM-3PM. Starting at $16 /hour. Requirement: 12 units in Early Childhood Education and a love for children and Jesus. Contact info: Ms.Reni@Agape-Montessori.org.
- Hospitality: We now need more church families to join the welcome team to greet and serve new friends as ushers. Please contact Chi or Charlene if you can serve as ushers. Thank you!

Prayer Requests
Pray for Our Church (EFCLA)
- Pray for Renovation. Pray for the renovation of the church courtyard. The necessary funds of 80,000 can be raised as soon as possible and the project can be successfully completed, adding a place for the church to exercise and communicate.
- Pray for Safety. Please pray for summer arrangements for church families. Children and teens attending summer school can be healthy and fulfilling. Families with travel plans can also travel safely and enhance family relationships.
- Pray for the Newly Baptized. There are seven people baptized in the past month. Pray that the Lord would strengthen their faith, and through equipping classes, they would be ready to witness for the Lord.
- Pray for the Sick. Pray for those who are sick. Pray that the Lord would heal them and restore their health.
Pray for the world
- Pray for the US. The mass shooting in the US in on the rise in the past few years. There are over 300 mass shooting cases in the first half of 2022 in the US. Pray that the congress would eventually pass the bill to prohibit people from carrying any assault weapon in public areas. Also, pray that the Lord would divert people’s hearts to seek Him for help instead of guns.
- Pray for Mozambique. More than half of the Mozambique’s population is Christian, yet persecution against them is severe. Islamic extremists brutally persecute them, and this persecution has increased over the past few years. A group associated with the Islamic State has killed and displaced believers across the country. Pray for the displaced and bereaved Christians to find solace and hope in Christ. Pray for God to provide the church in Mozambique in all their physical and spiritual needs.
