Announcements
- September Devotional Materials: Brothers and sisters who have subscribed to “Living Life”, please pick it up at the church office.
- Church Lunch: The estimated additional budget for lunch is $27,500 through August to December. Please keep this need in your prayers and support this ministry with donation (Memo: Lunch) if you are able.
- Courtyard Renovation: We have raised $18,315.52 for the goal of $80,000. Please continue to pray for this project and support financially with the memo: Building Fund.
- Children’s Congregation:
1) Parents can now register for the 2022-23 school year with children grades 5th and below through EFCLA.org.
2) Today 12:45-2:30pm there will be a teacher and teaching assistant training session for the fall semester (Sep-Nov) at CM 2nd floor.
3) On 8/28 (Sun) from 1-2pm there will be a 6th grader parents’ transitional meeting in the classroom of English chapel. Advisors and some current parents are invited to be there to connect with the new parents. - HeartKeeper Ministry:
1) Certified Life Coach Raye Cheng is invited to have a Q&A session at our Friday Night Fellowship this week (8/26). All students and young adults are welcome to attend this workshop.
2) There will be a time of music that we can come and enjoy on the Sunday of 9/11 from 1:30-2:30pm at our chapel. Admission free so please invite your friends and family to join us.
- College Group: Now planning a Day Trip to San Diego on this coming Saturday (8/27). Please sign up with Enoch or Pastor Jacky.

Prayer Requests
Pray for Our Church (EFCLA)
- Pray for Recruitment: Pastors and elders are recruiting the candidates of elders and deacons for the next year. Pray that the recruitment would be smooth, so that the church would have adequate leaders to carry on different ministries in next year.
- Pray for Happiness Groups: Our Fall Happiness Group campaign is only a month away. Pray that the Lord would move our brothers and sisters to have a burden in evangelism, and form different happiness groups to reach out to their family, friends, or neighbors.
- Pray for the Sick. Pray that the Lord would heal those who are sick and restore their heath and strength. Pray also for the speedy recovery of Elder Hank Lin.
Pray for the world
- Pray for Myanmar. Being a Christian in one of Myanmar’s Buddhist, Muslim or tribal communities can result in being denied access to basic resources like water, this happens often. And as Christians make up only eight percent of the population. The 2021 military coup has increased the dangers for Christians since most of the fighting happens in predominantly Christian states. Pray for the church in Myanmar to be salt and light in their nation and for God to strengthen their faith.
- Pray for Extreme Weather. The global warming has caused flood and drought in different regions in the world. As a result, more and more people are suffering from hunger and poverty. Pray that the Lord would move His church to reach out more to the poor to ease them from their physical hunger and also ease their spiritual hunger with the gospel.
