As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.” (Matthew 24:37)
Announcements
- Children’s Congregation:
1) Parents can now register for the 2022-23 school year with children grades 5th and below through EFCLA.org.
2) Today at 11am, there will be a pro-motion for the new 3rd graders on the 2nd floor of CC Building. Our church will give each student an English Bible as a gift and we welcome the parents to join us for this occasion.
3) 9/25 (Sun) from 12:45-1:30pm, CC has invited the Rosemead Fire Department to bring a fire truck to conduct a fire drill in the church parking lot. All kids and parents are welcome to participate. - Heart Keeper Ministry: “Encounter With You in Music – Praise • Meditation • Worship” will take place today (9/11) 1:30-2:30pm at our English chapel. No matter which life stage you are in, you are invited to self-reflect through live music performed by accomplished string quartet and pianist. Free admission. Please join us and don’t forget to invite friends and family.
- Church Lunch: The estimated additional budget for lunch is $27,500 through August to December. Please keep this need in your prayers and support this ministry with donation if you are able.
- Courtyard Renovation: The North Courtyard of the church campus is under renovation now. The projected completion is mid-October. Please use other entrances and exits during the construction period. The estimated budget is $80,000 and the amount of funds raised so far is $24,254.60. Please continue to pray for the renovation and funds. (Memo: Courtyard).
- Winter Retreat 2022: This year there will be a retreat planned together with all EFC churches’ English ministries from 12/29/2022 to 1/1/2023 in Big Bear. All church families are welcome to participate since there will be adult/youth and children’s tracks. Church will subsidize $50 at least for students and more information on the registration page: www.efcchurches.org/2022-winter-retreat.

Prayer Requests
Pray for Our Church (EFCLA)
- Pray for the student ministry of the church: Pray that the students of the Mandarin Congregation and Harvest LA will have the leadership to obey God, be biblical, and serve the younger generation with passion and enthusiasm with the vision given by the Lord.
- Pray for Happiness Groups: The 9/11 church-wide happiness group kick-off meeting has been completed, entering the two-week prep week. Please pray to prepare the hearts of the co-workers, form a team to cooperate in serving, and have the confidence to openly invite gospel friends to participate in the eight-week happiness group.
- Pray for for the ABC Chinese Christian Education Conference. The conference will be held online on 9/17 with the theme of the Holy Spirit. Please pray that the brothers and sisters who participate can be spiritually edified and better know the Holy Spirit and experience the power of the Holy Spirit.
- Pray for the Sick. Pray that the Lord would heal those who are sick and restore their heath and strength.
Pray for the world
- Pray for Colombia. Although Colombia has rich natural resources such as oil and coal mines, the country’s economic development is seriously affected by problems such as insufficient infrastructure, drug circulation, and poor law and order. Let us pray together that the Lord will use the light of the Word to illuminate the crime-ridden Colombian land, and enable the young people under the age of 25 (about 40% of the total population) to receive the Gospel and become the children of God.
