Announcements
- October Devotional Materials: Brothers and sisters who have subscribed to “Living Life”, please pick it up at the church office.
- Children’s Congregation: On 10/30 (Sun), from 12:45-2:30pm, CC will host a Trunk-N-Treat event at the church parking lot. You are welcome to invite friends and family to participate.
- Meeting: There will be a church council meeting in the English chapel today at 1:30pm. Pastors, elders, and deacons please reserve time to attend. Following the meeting, the board meeting will be held, pastors and elders please at-tend.
- Church Lunch: The estimated additional budget for lunch is $27,500 through August to December. Please keep this need in your prayers and support this ministry with donation if you are able.
- Courtyard Renovation: The North Courtyard of the church campus is under renovation now and it will take about 6 weeks for completion. Please use oth-er entrances and exits during the construction period. The estimated budget is $80,000 and the amount of funds raised so far is $32,937.76. Please continue to pray for the renovation and funds. (Memo: Courtyard).
- Congregational Meeting (10/16): EFCLA’s congregational meeting is on 10/16 (Sun) at 1:30pm. People who are over 18 years old and have been accepted to EFCLA’s membership have the right and obligation to vote on the day of the congregational meeting. Please participate and vote for our church’s budget and council for year 2023. For those active members who cannot attend the congregational meeting on 10/16 (Sun), please ask for leave of absence with your zone pastors, advisors, or the church office.
- Winter Retreat 2022: This year there will be a retreat planned together with all EFC churches’ English ministries from 12/29/2022 to 1/1/2023 in Big Bear. All church families are welcome to participate since there will be adult/youth and children’s tracks. Church will subsidize $80 for students and more information on the registration page: www.efcchurches.org/2022-winter-retreat

Prayer Requests
Pray for Our Church (EFCLA)
- Pray for Prayer Ministries: Pray that the Lord would revive His church through prayer ministries. Pray that people would fervently join different prayer meetings and experience the Lord’s presence in prayer meetings.
- Pray for Outreach Ministries: Pray that the seekers would come back for our outreach meeting. Pray also for those who host the outreach meeting.
- Pray for the Sick. Pray that the Lord would heal those who are sick and restore their heath and strength.
Pray for the world
- Pray for the RU-UA War. The Russia-Ukraine war has been going on for over seven months. This war has caused a great number of causalities on both sides. Also, this war has destroyed much of the infrastructure in Ukraine. The DGP of Ukraine dropped by as much as 45%. Pray that this war would finish soon, so that people’s life can be restored, and rebuild can be underway.
- Pray for Laos. Laos is a Buddhist nation run by a Communist state. This means that any church that does not have the government’s approval is considered as illegal and must conduct worship services in secret. Conversion to Christianity is seen as a betrayal of Buddhist tradition, so converts are subject to pressure and violence from the communities. Pray for imprisoned Christians to continue preaching the gospel and for believers throughout Laos to persevere in their faith.
