Prayer Requests

Pray for Our Church (EFCLA)

  • Pray for Cantonese Ministries. Since the beginning of October, we reschedule the Cantonese worship service from Sunday afternoon to Sunday morning, and increase the service from once a month to twice a month.  In the past two months, the attendance of Cantonese service increase somewhat.  Pray that the Lord would increase the number of the saved in our midst.  Pray also that the Lord would raise new leaders among us to minister to the Cantonese speaking congregation.
  • Pray for Choir Ministries. Pray for our adult and children’s choirs.  They are rehearsing this Christmas’s musical service.  Pray that the Lord would strengthen conductor Laura when training our choirs.
  • Pray for the Sick.  Pray that the Lord would heal those who are sick and restore their heath and strength.

Pray for the world

  • Pray for Meskhetian Turk in Kazakhstan. The Meskhetian Turks were forced out of Georgia in the 1940s, and one of the countries they moved to was Kazakhstan.  They live in closely-knit rural communities and are largely Sunni Muslim.  The gospel has been very slow to advance among Muslim Meskhetian Turks because of a lack of workers.  Pray that God would give neighboring believers a sense of urgency to go and share the gospel with the Meskhetian Turks.  Pray that He would prepare the hearts of the Meskhetian Turks to receive the love of Jesus Christ.
  • Pray for Niger. Niger was once known as a country where different religions coexisted peacefully, but in recent years Christians have been subject to increasing pressure from their Muslim neighbors.  In areas under Islamist control, it is dangerous for Christian to gather because of the threat of violence from militant groups.  The pandemic has also allowed Islamic militants to expand their influence throughout the country.  Pray that God would put a stop to these violent attacks against believers and for the influence of militant Islamist groups to diminish.
