Announcements

  • Children’s Congregation:  New school year 2023-24 registration is on now.  Please check the church website EFCLA.org.
  • September Baptism (9/17): There will be an occasion for baptism on 9/17.  In preparation of that, baptism class will be on TODAY from 1:30-3:00pm in the Scratch room (115A).  Please contact Pastor Jacky if you need further information.
  • Church Cleaning Day (10/1): We will do church annual cleaning on 10/1 (Sun) from 1:30pm. Please reserve your time to join the cleaning and tidy up God’s house our home altogether.
  • Church Lunch Service: Thank the Lord, we have received $45,892.55 for our lunch fund so far.  If you would like to make a lunch special donation through check or cash offering, please use the church offering envelope, and please indicate lunch in the memo.
  • Agape Education Center: The Montessori School is starting to recruit students aged 2-6 years old. If you want more information or to visit the school, please contact 626-450-7686 to leave a message.

Prayer Requests

PRAY FOR OUR CHURCH (EFCLA)

  • Pray for Happiness Group. The Fall Happiness Group outreach starts from Sep 10. Please pray for the Happiness Group training scheduled on the afternoon of Sep 10. Pray that every fellowship/small group would send out teams for Happiness Group outreach. Pray also for the preparation for each Happiness group, and the invitation of seekers to Happiness Group meetings.
  • Pray for Sunday School. Pray for the teachers of adult Sunday school. Pray that the Lord would use these teachers to equip brothers and sisters to grow in the knowledge of God’s Word and to be ready for all kinds of ministries.
  • Pray for Nomination. The nomination of elders and deacons are on-going until Sep 24. Pray that the Lord would raise up enough leaders for every ministry of His church, and use them to further develop His church.
  • Pray for the Sick. Pray that the Lord would heal those who are sick and restore their heath and strength.

PRAY FOR THE WORLD

  • Pray for Spain.  Spain’s strategic location between Europe and Africa and the Mediterranean Sea has made it political and cultural bridge between the continents.  After decades under an authoritarian dictatorship, Spain switched to democratic rule in 1978, which has helped it move toward a more stable economy and increased religious freedom.  Most Christians are nominal Roman Catholics, with less than 17% attending mass.  Secularism is on the rise as the influence of materialism continues to spread.  Pray for the church to reach out to nominal Christians and to combat secularism with the gospel.  Praise God for Spain’s stable economy and religious freedom.
