Prayer Requests

PRAY FOR OUR CHURCH (EFCLA)

  • Pray for the happiness group. This fall’s happiness group has started. There are seven groups this time. Please pray for the happiness group co-workers and the BEST. Pray for the unity of co-workers, pray for the Holy Spirit to inspire and guide the process, pray for the Holy Spirit to open the best’s heart, and be willing to accept Jesus, believe in Jesus, and have a changed life.
  • Pray for the Congregational Meeting. This year is the 53rd anniversary of EFCLA. Pray that our church will be united in the gospel, witnessing to the Lord and spreading the gospel everywhere, and that brothers and sisters will be committed to growth and active participation in ministry, and that we will have our annual congregational meeting in October to select our new elders and deacons for the year 2024. Pray that God will prepare a unified team of elders and deacons who will work together to build up the body of Jesus Christ.
  • Pray for the care department of the church. Pray that the orientation team can give new friends a warm welcome every Sunday and make them feel welcome and accepted. Pray that the orientation dinner after the service can help them get to know new friends better and provide timely follow-up.
  • Pray for the Sick. Pray that the Lord would heal those who are sick and restore their heath and strength.

PRAY FOR THE WORLD

  • Pray for Nigeria. Christians in Nigeria, West Africa, mostly live in the south, while Muslims mostly live in the north. Over the past decade, the Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram has massacred tens of thousands of Christians, and last year more than 5,000 Christians lost their lives because of their faith. Ask the Lord to eradicate all evil committed by Boko Haram and protect local Christians from harm.
