Announcements
- Devotional Material: January 2024’s “Living Life” is available at the church of-fice for pickup.
- Installation (Today): New coworkers, deacons, and elders’ installation will oc-cur in the worship service today. Praise the Lord for their hearts to serve God’s church. Let us pray for our new church leadership.
- Expanded Council Meeting (Today):
1) EFCLA’s expanded council meeting will be held today at 1:30 pm at the English chapel. For all pastors, zone pastors, staff, elders, deacons, advisors, chairpersons, and small group leaders, please reserve your time for this meeting.
2) The church board meeting will follow right after for pastors and elders to attend.
- Children’s Congregation (1/14): The children’s choir will resume regular practice on 1/14/2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. Parents of interested children are encouraged to contact Director Ruth for details and registration.
- In-person Wednesday Prayer Meeting: Starting from 1/31/2024, the Wednesday prayer meeting will be held in person on the last week of each month at 7:30pm in English Hall. All are invited to worship, praise, and pray together.
- Glocal Outreach Mission Conference (2/3): The ” Reflection, Review and Re-Vision, Becoming a missional disciple” will be held at the English Chapel on 2/3 Saturday from 9:30 to 12:00. Lunch provided. All who have participated VBS missions and all who are interested in next year STM are invited. Please register with Pastor Scott (drscott@gmail.com) or church officer huiling@efcla.org by 2/1.
- Church Lunch Service: For our lunch fund each person cost $200 a year. If you would like to make a special donation for lunch through a check or cash offering, please use the church offering envelope and indicate “lunch” in the memo.

Prayer Requests
PRAY FOR OUR CHURCH (EFCLA)
- Pray for New Believers. Pray for those new believers baptized in November or December 2023. We pray the Lord would give them a craving heart for basic doctrine training in order to grow in their spirituality ready for advanced spiritual training.
- Pray for Christian Education. Pray for the adult and children’s Sunday School teachers. We pray the Lord would use them to help brothers and sisters have a better knowledge of the Truth and become ready to serve the Lord. Also, we pray everyone would devote himself to receiving training no matter how long he has been in the Lord.
- Pray for Elders and Deacons. Pray for our 9 elders and 25 deacons. We pray that they would have a good relation with the Lord through regular daily devotion. Also, we pray they would make a good use of their gifts in further development of our church. Finally, they would partner in spreading the gospel.
- Pray for the Sick. Pray that the Lord would heal those who are ill and re-store their health and strength.
PRAY FOR THE WORLD
- Pray for Morocco. Ever since its independence in 1956. Morocco has been a stable and influential presence in its region. They have a monarchy, and the king is head of state and religion. All who are born in Morocco are considered Sunni Muslim. The constitution guarantees freedom of religion, but Christians are usually monitored and sometimes imprisoned. Thus, many Christians gather in secret to avoid conflict. As estimated two thousand Moroccan believers meet in house churches scattered around the nation, making it difficult to be united. Pray for unity among the house churches scattered through the nation. Praise God for Moroccan believers who gather in each other’s houses
