Prayer Requests

PRAY FOR OUR CHURCH (EFCLA)

  • Pray for Pastors (Pastoral Office).  Nowadays, Pastors (Zone pastors and pastoral staff) are in a challenging generation. Pray that the pastors will not compromise the truth with the world, also spread the truth in love and affect people’s lives. Keep their physical and spiritual health, protect their (and family) from the terror of the enemy. Remove all factors that hinder the pastor from praying (such as busyness, fatigue, unnecessary phone calls, chores, etc.) so that there is no distance between the pastors and God, so they can seek God, fear God, and long for God every day.
  • Pray for the Care Department.  Our Care Ministry Dept. hopes to recruit a group of welcome team to convey the love of the church. Welcome ministry is a service on the spiritual frontline, and cordial greetings can bring warmth and love to new friends. Through the service of welcome and caring, more brothers and sisters will rise up to serve together, become a good testimony in our lives, become the seeds of the Gospel, and distribute it to the groups around us, so that they will return to the church because of this good testimony.
  • Pray for New Believers. Pray for those new believers baptized in November or December 2023. We pray the Lord would give them a craving heart for basic doctrine training in order to grow in their spirituality ready for advanced spiritual training.
  • Pray for the Sick. Pray that the Lord would heal those who are ill and re-store their health and strength.

PRAY FOR THE WORLD

  • Pray for Brazil.  Although Brazil is a Christian nation, the reality is that nominalism and Spiritism are prevalent. There are forty million Brazilians who live in severe poverty and many live in favelas–slums where crime, drug addiction, and AIDS are prevalent. Despite these dismal facts, the evangelical church continues to grow and Brazil has even become a missionary-sanding nation.  Pray for genuine relationship with Christ to overcome nominalism and Spiritism, and Brazilian churches’ growing.
