Announcements
- Missions Announcement: Praise the Lord we have received enough donations for this year’s short-term missions. You are welcome to use your donations to continually support church’s missions. Please indicate your donation: Missions.
- Youth Sunday School Announcement: This Summer starting from this week, the Youth Sunday School has a brand new style of Sunday School time— The Table Talk Time!! Every Sunday morning before Service in the courtyard from 9:30-11 am, we will open up the space for hangouts, conversations, and even games. This is open to all ages and stages to join in and fellowship if you are still here over the summer.
- Winter Retreat 2024: This year’s winter retreat’s theme is “Identity”, welcome all youth, college, and young adult brother and sisters to attend. Registration is now live! Please visit the Google form with link below for more detailed information: https://forms.gle/m2ung8CM5iCCPLeN7
- Agape Montessori School: Looking for payed teacher assistant positions. Ideally one with 2-6 Yrs. Old teaching experience. Please contact 626-450-7686 for more information.
- Co-worker’s Retreat 2024: On 8/17 (Sat) be held at main sanctuary, registration at 9:30AM and meeting from 10AM-6PM with lunch and dinner provided. All pastors, deacons, elders, fellowship leaders and co-workers are kindly invited, please set aside time to attend.
- Children’s Congregation Announcements: 1) Children Choir back to normal practice on 8/18 / 2024, 12:30 – 1: 30 pm. Please sign up with a new registration form of 2024-25 at the CC check in & out area. 2) The 5 -6th graders will join the English worship service on 7/21/ 2024. at 11 am. Please come on time. Please contact Ruth for more details.
- Church Cleaning Day: Please reserve your time for this year’s church cleaning day on 9/22 1:30PM after Sunday service. Cleaning area will be allocated to fellowship groups.
- Church Lunch Offering: The estimated annual cost for church lunches is $200 per person, approximately $20 per month. Label your offering “Lunch” in the donation memo.
- Church Member Day: It will be held on Saturday, 10/19. Members please reserve your time to attend.

Prayer Requests
PRAY FOR OUR CHURCH (EFCLA)
- Pray for Taiwan STM team. May God give STM team faith and strength, so they can be bold to share the gospel and serve people in different culture. Bless every gathering, people’s hearts will be touched by God, and they will experience God’s powerful visit and the work of the Holy Spirit. May God grant them safe travel and good health.
- Pray for Our Church. Pray that people would seek after God. Pray that people would experience the renewal and transformation from the Holy Spirit as to devote themselves in prayer, receive training and equipping, and commit themselves in the Lord’s commission to His disciples.
- Pray for the Sick. Pray for the brothers and sisters you know who are in poor health. Ask God to heal them and restore their physical health.
PRAY FOR THE WORLD
- Pray for Mauritania: Mauritania is located in northwest Africa, with most of its area being desert. It is one of the poorest countries in the world. Islam has been their state religion for more than a thousand years. According to “Islamic law”, preaching the gospel in Mauritania is illegal, and those who convert will be imprisoned or sentenced to death. Let us pray for the Mauritanians who are in darkness, that the light of grace may illuminate them so they may hear the gospel.
