Announcements
- Children’s Congregation Announcements:
1) Children’s Choir is back to its regular practice today, from 12:30 – 1:30pm. Please fill out the new 2024-25 registration form at the CC check-in & check-out area. The fee is $30/year for returning students and $60/year for new students.
2) The new school year begins on 9/8. Starting today, you can register your children for the new Sunday School. Please visit the church website to sign up: https://efcla.org/CCReg.
3) Fall Quarter Sunday School teachers and helpers training will take place today from 12:45 – 2:30pm in the worship room on the 2nd floor of the CM building.
4)The CC Annual field trip to the California Science Center is on 8/25. Please contact Ruth for more details. - Multimedia Seminar (Today): For those interested in photography, media, and marketing, we will have a seminar today covering these three major themes, taught by Mei, ERay, and Debbi. It will be held at 1:30pm in the English Hall.
- Church Cleaning Day: Please reserve your time for this year’s church cleaning day on 9/22 1:30pm after Sunday service. Cleaning area will be allocated to fellowship groups.
- Church Lunch Offering: The estimated annual cost for church lunches is $200 per person, approximately $20 per month. Label your offering “Lunch” in the donation memo.
- Youth Sunday School Announcement: The Youth Sunday School has a brand new style of Sunday School time— The Table Talk Time!! Every Sunday morning before Service in the courtyard from 9:30-11am, we will open up the space for hangouts, conversations, and even games. This is open to all ages and stages to join in and fellowship if you are still here over the summer.
- Winter Retreat 2024: This year’s winter retreat’s theme is “Identity”, welcome all youth, college, and young adult brother and sisters to attend. Registration is now live! Please visit the Google form with link below for more detailed information: https://forms.gle/m2ung8CM5iCCPLeN7
- Church Member Day: It will be held on Saturday, 10/19. Members please reserve your time to attend.

Prayer Requests
PRAY FOR OUR CHURCH (EFCLA)
- Pray for more committed coworkers in church ministry. After the pandemic, people are flocking to the church, and new friends are visiting every week, but there is still a shortage of coworkers for pastoral care. Pray that the Lord raises up the next generation of leaders and not only focus on imparting knowledge but also emphasize life-on-life discipleship. May every leader disciple new members with the life of Jesus, and may every brother and sister in EFCLA love one another with the love of Jesus.
- Pray for the preparation of the Happiness Group in the second half of the year. As the Happiness Group is about to begin, we ask the Lord to bring BEST and prepare the hearts of the coworkers for the invitation process. May the Lord grant us wisdom, so we do not give up easily, and help us learn from failures, to stand up once again and win souls for the Lord.
- Pray for the Sick. Pray for the brothers and sisters you know who are in poor health. Ask God to heal them and restore their physical health.
PRAY FOR THE WORLD
- Pray for peace in the countries recently affected by natural disasters. This includes the United States (hurricane), Japan (earthquake), China (landslides and floods), the Philippines (typhoon), Greece (wildfires), and Turkey (wildfires). We ask You to grant peace and strength to the people of these nations, and may Your protection continue to surround them! Lord, we pray for comfort for the hearts of those affected, healing for the injured, and wisdom and courage for the rescue workers as they rebuild the homes destroyed by these disasters. May all necessary resources reach them smoothly.
- Pray for peace in the Middle East. Pray for the relationship between Iran and Israel, asking the Lord to stop any potential outbreak of war, and may God’s will be fully accomplished between Israel and Iran. May the Prince of Peace, Lord Jesus, walk boldly among them, providing opportunities for peaceful dialogue to resolve conflicts. We ask You to protect all the people, granting them hope and comfort, and allowing them to know more about salvation.
