- Children’s Congregation Announcements:
1) The new school year begins on 9/1. Starting today, you can register your children for the new Sunday School. Please visit the church website to sign up: https://efcla.org/CCReg.
2) The CC Annual field trip to the California Science Center is on today. Please contact Ruth for more details.
3) All now 7th graders move up to the Student Ministry starting this Sunday and 1-2 pm have parents transition meetings at 105 classrooms, please come on time for this meeting.
4) 9/8 (Sun) The CC will hold a parents’ meeting for those who have children in the CC during Friday and Sunday fellowship time. Please come to join this meeting at CC worship room 1-2pm. - Church Cleaning Day: Please reserve your time for this year’s church cleaning day on 9/22 1:30pm after Sunday service. Cleaning area will be allocated to fellowship groups.
- Church Lunch Offering: The estimated annual cost for church lunches is $200 per person, approximately $20 per month. Label your offering “Lunch” in the donation memo.
- Youth Sunday School Announcement: The Youth Sunday School has a brand new style of Sunday School time— The Table Talk Time!! Every Sunday morning before Service in the courtyard from 9:30-11am, we will open up the space for hangouts, conversations, and even games. This is open to all ages and stages to join in and fellowship if you are still here over the summer.
- Winter Retreat 2024: This year’s winter retreat’s theme is “Identity”, welcome all youth, college, and young adult brother and sisters to attend. Registration is now live! Please visit the Google form with link below for more detailed information: https://forms.gle/m2ung8CM5iCCPLeN7
- Church Member Day: It will be held on Saturday, 10/19. Members please reserve your time to attend.

Prayer Requests
PRAY FOR OUR CHURCH (EFCLA)
- Pray for Nomination of Deacons and Elders. Elders of different departments are searching for next year’s deacons. Pray that they can find enough deacons for their ministries, and God would convince those who are invited by elders. Pray that the Lord would raise more deacons in our church to conduct different ministries for further development of our church.
- Pray for Personal Spiritual Revival. Pray that each one of us would experience a personal spiritual revival. Everyone would hear God’s voice, and encounter with the true and living God, so that everyone would become passionate again in worshiping God, serving God, obeying God, and preaching the gospel.
- Pray for Children Congregation. Pray for the registration of Children Sunday School would be smooth, and there are more than one hundred sign-ups. Pray that there will be a new generation of children Sunday School teachers devoting in teaching the children to follow Jesus, obey Jesus, and serve Jesus.
- Pray for the Sick. Pray that the Lord would heal those who are sick and restore their heath and strength.
PRAY FOR THE WORLD
- Pray for Taiwan. Over 90% of Taiwanese follow some combination of Buddhism, Confucianism, Daoism, and traditional religions. Most of the Christians in Taiwan live in major cities, so rural areas get less exposure to the gospel. Churches have been increasing their efforts to evangelize the working class through less formal outreaches. Taiwan remains the only major Han Chinese population in the world without a significant spiritual breakthrough. Pray for a spiritual breakage in the rural areas of Taiwan.
