Announcements
- Devotional Material: October 2024’s “Living Life” is available at the church office for pickup.
- FIZ Marriage Course Outreach: Starting today, we’ll be hosting a 7-session Alpha Marriage Course. This is a fantastic opportunity for married couples to strengthen their relationships and connect with others in the community. We encourage couples to join and invite their friends for a meaningful experience of growth and connection.
- 54th Anniversary: 10/13 marks the 54th anniversary of our church. All congregations will gather for worship at the usual time. May God use His church as we follow Jesus, bear witness to the Lord, and love one another.
- Winter Retreat & Mission Fundraising (10/13): There will be a fundraiser offering various snacks and Hello Kitty products in the church courtyard at 12:30 PM on Sunday, 10/13. Everyone is invited to come and join in this great event.
- Church Member Day (10/19): This event will be held on 10/19 (Sat) from 3:00–6:30 PM, including dinner at the church. The purpose is to review the church ministry plans and budget for 2025, with information and Q&A sessions, and to pray for the church’s vision before the congregational meeting (10/20). - 2025 Elder and Deacon Nomination: Elder: Alex Chiu. Deacons: Stella Hsu, Frank Xue, Jim Su, Terry Tam, Allen Kuo, Jeremy Chuang, Christine Wu, Sam Yeh, Michael Hsu, Jenny Yeh, Jason Lin, Kelvin Ng, Ray Chang, Steven Hsieh, Jerry Yu.
- Member List: The list of active members is posted in the chapel and main sanctuary hallway. Please check the list and let the church office know if you have any questions. Those who are baptized or became members for less than three months are not yet eligible for voting in the meeting.
- Congregation Meeting (10/20): It will be held at 1:30 pm on 10/20 (Sun). The Elder, Deacon and budget voting will take place during our worship services. All active members shall attend. If you are unable to attend, please ask for leave from the zone pastor, advisor, or church office in advance.

Prayer Requests
PRAY FOR OUR CHURCH (EFCLA)
- Praying for the Church’s ministry plans for 2025. Next year marks the 55th anniversary of our Church. We pray that the Lord will enable all the brothers and sisters in the congregation to understand His will. Through a collective reception of His guidance, may the church be empowered for breakthrough expansion in evangelism and community care. We ask the Lord to keep the congregation from being complacent and to provide a clear vision, so that in the coming year, the Church may begin to win new ground for the Lord and multiply abundantly.
- Praying for the Happiness Groups. The Happiness Groups for the second half of the year have already begun. We pray for the BESTs in each group, asking the Lord to open their hearts to be willing to receive the gospel. May the Lord also grant wisdom and the ability to answer the BESTs’ questions with love. We pray that the Lord draws the BESTs to be attracted to His love and attend the Happiness Groups each week. May the co-workers remain vigilant in prayer, standing against all enemy attacks.
- Praying for the upcoming church assembly meeting in October. We pray for the elders and deacons who will be elected at this October’s assembly meeting. May God grant them wisdom and strength to develop various church ministries, leading the brothers and sisters to prosper in God’s house. We ask that more members will rise up to serve the Lord, and that many who have not yet come to know God will be blessed through the church.
- Pray for the Sick. Pray that the Lord would heal those who are sick and restore their heath and strength.
PRAY FOR THE WORLD
- Praying for the de-escalation of war in the Israel-Lebanon region. The conflict between Israel and Lebanon has escalated! Israel launched airstrikes within 24 hours, and according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, 569 people have been killed and 1,835 injured, marking the deadliest day in nearly a year of cross-border conflict between Hezbollah and Israel. Foreign media have previously analyzed that the border clashes could escalate into full-scale war. We continue to pray for the Israel-Lebanon region and for peace in the Middle East.
