Title: Training for Your Mission— Godliness

Passage: 1 Timothy 4:8-10

Announcements

  • EFCLA Celebrates 55th Anniversary:
     1) In celebration of EFCLA’s 55th anniversary, we will be creating a commemorative wall made up of individually decorated tiles contributed by brothers and sisters. You are invited to participate by purchasing and decorating a tile. Available tile sizes: 12×12 inches ($80), 6×6 inches ($30). We encourage everyone to take part in this commemorative wall project! To purchase a tile, please contact the church office. The deadline is July 27, 2025.
     2) We will be painting tiles in the fellowship hall at 1:30 pm on Sunday, August 17. Please design your pattern in advance and wear clothes that won’t get dirty..
  • Co-worker’s Training 2025: On 8/16 (Sat) be held at fellowship hall, meeting from 9:30AM -3PM with lunch provided. All pastors, deacons, elders, fellowship leaders and co-workers are kindly invited, please set aside time to attend.

Prayer Requests

PRAY FOR OUR CHURCH (EFCLA)

  • Pray for the STM team. May God give STM team faith and strength, so they can be bold to share the gospel and serve people in different cul-tures. Bless every gathering, people’s hearts will be touched by God, and they will experience God’s powerful visit and the work of the Holy Spirit. May God grant them safe travel and good health.
  • Prayer for the Church’s 55th Anniversary Celebration. The church’s anni-versary celebration will take place in October, and preparations are cur-rently underway. Let us pray that this celebration will foster unity within the church, become a time to count and give thanks for God’s abundant grace, and lead the congregation to receive a fresh vision for the future.
  • Prayer for the Church Co-Workers’ Training on August 16. The theme is “Moving Forward in One Heart, Building the Lord’s House.” Let us pray for the upcoming church co-workers’ training. Through worship, vision sharing and small group discussions, may the participants come to a deeper unity in faith and vision, gain a clearer understanding of the church’s current pas-toral direction and ministries, and be stirred to use their gifts and grow in a spirit of teamwork. Pray that the Holy Spirit will guide and lead the entire training.
  • Pray for the Sick. Pray for the brothers and sisters you know who are in poor health, and ask God to heal them and restore them to good health.

PRAY FOR THE WORLD

  • Pray for Mayotte Island. Mayotte Island is a French overseas territory located at the northern end of the Mozambique Channel in the Indian Ocean. Approximately 98% of the population adheres to Islam, primarily Sunni, and Islamic beliefs are often blended with other traditional religious practices. Let us pray for Mayotte: May the people, who are economically dependent on aid from France and the European Union and content with the status quo, come to see the hope found in the spiritual realm and be open to receiving the gospel of Jesus Christ.
