Children’s Ministry:
1) The new school year begins today. All parents, please fill out the registration form on the church website: https://efcla.org/CCReg. Children’s choir will start practice today from 12:30–1:30PM in the 2nd Floor Worship Classroom.
2) From 12:30 to 1:30 on 9/28, new teachers, teaching assistants and youth ministry counselors are invited to classroom 200 on the second floor of the children’s hall for background checks. For details, please con-tact Director Ruth (x16)..
Church announcement: Southern California Edison Company will be conducting maintenance from 9/19 Friday evening to 9/20 Saturday morning. our church facilities will be closed.
Church Cleaning Day: Please reserve your time for this year’s church cleaning day on 9/28 1:30PM after Sunday service. Cleaning area will be allocated to fellowship groups.
55th Anniversary: Our church will be holding the 55th Anniversary Combined Service on 10am Sunday, October 12. Following the service, 12pm we will celebrate with a 55th Anniversary Festival & Fair. We warmly invite everyone to join us as we give thanks to the Lord together.

PRAY FOR OUR CHURCH (EFCLA)

Pray for the Nomination of Deacons. The process of seeking candidates for deacons in each ministry department is currently underway. Please pray that the elders of each department will be able to find the deacon co-workers needed. May God move the hearts of the brothers and sisters be-ing approached so that they may clearly discern His leading. According to 1 Timothy 3, these positions of service are roles of spiritual leadership, not only participating in ministry but also serving as examples to believers in life, spiritual growth, and family.
Pray for Children Congregation. Pray for the registration of Children Sun-day School would be smooth, and there are more children sign-ups. Pray that there will be a new generation of children Sunday School teachers de-voting in teaching the children to follow Jesus, obey Jesus, and serve Jesus.
Pray for the Sunday School Classes (September~November). These include Pastor Hsieh Hsi-Ming’s Taiwanese joint lecture on faith and life, the New Testament Survey (Part 2) in the fellowship hall, and discipleship courses for the Rainbow Fellowship and En-Ai Fellowship. Pray that God will use these classes to nurture believers, help them know the truth, and live out their faith.
Pray for the Sick. Please pray for Danielle’s recovery after brain surgery. Pray for the brothers and sisters you know who are in poor health, and ask God to heal them and restore them to good health.

PRAY FOR THE WORLD

Pray for Japan. According to 2024 statistics, the number of suicides among elementary, junior high, and high school students in Japan has reached a record high, with a significant increase among junior high and high school girls. The causes include academic pressure, bullying, interpersonal difficulties, and concerns about their future. Let us pray that the Japanese government will establish effective measures and that Japanese youth will come to know the gospel of life.
