Announcements

  • Devotional Material: September 2025’s Living Life is now available for pickup at the church office.
  • Church Meeting (9/21):
    1) Council Meeting will be held on 9/21 (Sun) 1:30pm at English Chapel.  Pastors, ministers, elders, deacons are all invited to participate.
    2) The Elder Board meeting will be right after the previous meeting.
  • Church announcement: Southern California Edison Company will be conducting maintenance from 9/19 Friday evening to 9/20 Saturday morning. our church facilities will be closed.
  • Church Cleaning Day: Please reserve your time for this year’s church cleaning day on 9/28 1:30PM after Sunday service. Cleaning area will be allocated to fellowship groups.
  • 55th Anniversary: Our church will be holding the 55th Anniversary Combined Service on 10am Sunday, October 12. Following the service, 12pm we will celebrate with a 55th Anniversary Festival & Fair. We warmly invite everyone to join us as we give thanks to the Lord together.
  • Church Member Day (10/18): This event will be held on 10/18 (Sat) from 3:00–6:30 PM, including dinner at the church. The purpose is to review the church ministry plans and budget for 2025, with information and Q&A sessions, and to pray for the church’s vision before the congregational meeting (10/19).   • Congregation Meeting (10/19): It will be held at 1:30 pm on 10/19 (Sun). The Elder, Deacon and budget voting will take place during our worship services. All active members shall attend. If you are unable to attend, please ask for leave from the zone pastor, advisor, or church office in advance.
  • Upcoming: Holy Communion on(10/5)

Prayer Requests

PRAY FOR OUR CHURCH (EFCLA)

  • Pray for Harvest LA student ministry. Pray that the Lord will lead the new junior high and high school students to be integrated into the fellowship, to feel loved, and to enjoy small group life. Also pray for the 9/12 Welcome Night, that the new students may experience connection and acceptance in God’s family, be drawn to know the Lord more deeply, and follow Jesus.
  • Pray for our spiritual growth. Pray that we may trust the Lord more fully—not relying on ourselves but depending solely on the Holy Spirit. As we continually abide in Christ, may our lives each day reflect His beauty and reveal His glory to the world!
  • Pray for the Sunday School Classes (September~November). These include Pastor Hsieh Hsi-Ming’s Taiwanese joint lecture on faith and life, the New Testament Survey (Part 2), and discipleship course (part 2), 7A Parenting class. Pray that God will use these classes to nurture believers, help them know the truth, and live out their faith.
  • Pray for the Sick. Please pray for Danielle’s recovery after brain surgery. Pray for the brothers and sisters you know who are in poor health, and ask God to heal them and restore them to good health.

PRAY FOR THE WORLD

  • Pray for churches in the Democratic Republic of the Congo(DRC). In a church in the DRC, the bodies of seventy Christians who had been be-headed were discovered. It is reported that this was carried out by Islamic militants. The DRC has gone through a long period of civil war, with the death toll surpassing six million, and the persecution of Christians is be-coming increasingly severe. May the Lord protect the safety of local Chris-tians, grant them strong faith to face persecution, and bring an end to the war so that the civil conflict may soon cease.
