PRAY FOR OUR CHURCH (EFCLA)
- Pray for the Kingdom and the Church. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness for our past indifference toward our nation and society, as well as for any breaches that may exist within the church. May the Holy Spirit burn like a refining fire, removing the idols in our lives and our Luke warmness. Help us to follow the example of Daniel, confessing the sins of our people and our nation. Grant us hearts that are truly broken and contrite, so that we are not merely fulfilling religious duties, but genuinely sharing in Your grief and repentance. We ask that You would raise up more sparks of prayer within the church, that the fire of prayer would never be extinguished. May the church not simply be a place of social gathering, but become a house of prayer for all nations, filled with the anointing and power of the Holy Spirit.
- Pray as we prepare to enter Holy Week. As we prepare to enter Holy Week, we ask the Holy Spirit to quiet our restless hearts. May the Lord re-move from us any sense of “taking things for granted,” so that we would no longer grow numb to Your grace. Help us to set aside time to read Your Word and meditate, truly walking with Jesus along the road to Calvary, so that our faith is not merely knowledge, but deeply etched into our lives. We pray that His Word would be like a sharp sword, piercing and exposing the selfishness, pride, and weakness within us. As we behold how He was wounded and crucified for our sins, grant us hearts that are broken and contrite, that we may fully lay down our old selves at the foot of the cross. May Jesus precious blood cleanse us from all our transgressions, and ena-ble us to bear fruit in keeping with true repentance.
- Pray for the church’s evangelism efforts in the first half of this year. We pray that in the first half of the year, the church would rise up to carry out various local evangelistic outreaches. May the Lord send more people who are willing to step into communities, workplaces, campuses, and the online world, taking initiative to care for souls who are under mental stress, lone-liness, and trauma. We ask God to grant us wisdom and sensitivity, so that we may discern the hidden needs in people’s hearts—not only sharing the truth, but also bringing God’s comfort and hope into their lives through practical companionship and intercession. We declare that the Holy Spirit will be at work, enabling the church to bear lasting fruit.
- Pray for the Sick. Pray for those who are experiencing illness or physical weakness. Ask the Lord to heal, sustain, and comfort them.
PRAY FOR THE WORLD
- Pray for Contend Globe’s special gathering in Southern California this April. Pastor David Kim, who has been leading a wave of the Nazarite movement in Taiwanese churches over the past two to three years, will be coming to Southern California in April to share and mobilize the “Asia Arise” movement. After 1996, many youth revivals took place in the United States, and their origins can be traced back to second-generation Taiwan-ese immigrants who participated at that time. They received the message of the Nazarites, and now this movement has returned to Taiwan. Please especially pray for this “Asia Arise” gathering—that the Lord would raise up the next generation of churches in North America who are willing to be set apart and consecrated for God. May God raise up Nazarites in Southern California; may His Spirit be poured out on those who long for Him, strengthening them to stand firm, be set apart, and become a people who contend for Him on campuses, in cities, and in nations—and may the Gos-pel spread throughout the whole earth!
- Pray for peace in the Middle East amid ongoing conflict. We earnestly cry out for the Middle East, a region shaken by war. We ask God to intervene in the escalating tensions involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, which risk widening conflict across the region. Lord, restrain hatred and retaliation, and prevent neighboring nations from being drawn into a destructive chain of war. We pray that God would humble the pride in human hearts, protect the security of the Strait of Hormuz, and thwart the plans of the evil one. May God’s true light shine into the Persian Gulf, and may this region experience genuine peace and transformation that comes from Him.
