Title: Cast Away and Covid

Passage: Lamentations 3:19-24

Announcements

  • Sunday Worship Service: We welcome brothers and sisters to join our church physical worship. Taiwanese at 9:45, English at 11:00, and Mandarin at 11:15. No registration required and YouTube live-stream will still be available.
  • Construction: Church is planning to renovate the men’s and women’s re-strooms in the main sanctuary and English chapel. The estimated cost is $150,000. We invite brothers and sisters to pray for sufficient funds and suc-cessful completion of the remodeling process. If you would like to give a spe-cial offering for this project, please put “Building” in the notes while doing it through PayPal, Zelle, or with checks and cash.
  • Announcement: Church office will be closed on 6/01 (Tue) to make up the day-off due to Memorial Day Long Weekend.
  • Midweek Prayer Meeting: We will start a new prayer ministry every Wednesday evening from June. We sincerely invite all our sisters and brothers to join a time of this midweek prayer on 6/2 (Wed) 7:30-8:30pm through Zoom (Meeting ID: 810 0333 4883 Passcode: prayer). We look forward to connecting with our church family through worship, sharing, and prayers altogether. Feel free to reach out to Pastor Jacky if you have any questions.
  • Children Congregation: 1) Sunday School Award Giving activity will be 6/12 (Sat) 10am to 12pm with drive-thru in the church parking lot. We sincerely invite the parents to take your children along for pick-up. 2) Now CC is recruiting volunteers for the preparation of having children return to church in fall physically. Please contact CC Director Ruth (ext.16 or rkuo@efcla.org) if you have been fully vaccinated and are willing to serve on Friday/Saturday eve-nings during fellowship time or Sunday during worship.
  • Recruitment: We are looking for advisors and helpers to join our ministries to bless and inspire our college, high school, and middle school students. Feel free to reach out if you feel called and would like to know more about it.

Prayer Requests

Pray for Our Church (EFCLA)

  • Pray for Financial Ministries. Pray for Elder Max, Deacon Anson, Donna, and Jenny of our Financial Department.  Pray that the Lord would remember their faithful service.
  • Pray for Happiness Group Ministries. Our Happiness Group Campaign ended in May, but four groups continue to meet with the BEST for bible study.  Pray that these BEST would receive their baptism soon.
  • Pray for the Sick.  Pray for those who are sick. Pray that the Lord would heal them and restore their health.

Pray for the world

  • Pray for Taiwan West Coast Mission. This year’s Taiwan West Coast Short-Term Mission will be conducted in a hybrid format.  As the COVID pandemic becomes worse in Taiwan recently, it casts uncertainty on the short-term mission.  Pray that the COVID pandemic in Taiwan will be alleviated and the short-term mission will be held as planned.
  • Pray for Dangi. The Dangi people live in the forested regions of western central India that are rich in biodiversity.  Ever since the British occupation, the Dangi have struggled over the ownership of their natural resources.  Amid this struggle Dangi tribes have been subject to village raids, harassment, property seizures, and beatings.  Pray for God’s protection over the Dangi and that He would grant them the right to cultivate and live peacefully in their land.
