Title: In Exodus, A Guide

Passage: Exodus 13:17-22

  • A Guide Who Knows Us
    • God’s perfect will includes a perfect knowledge of us. He is a compassionate guide who leads us in a personal/intimate way.
    • Will you put your complete trust in Him?
  • Wishes of the Deceased (Final Resting Place)
    • Joseph lived and died with great faith, knowing God would come to the aid of his people and take them to the Promise Land.
    • What preparations are we making now in light of our final resting place?
  • A Guide Who Continually Leads Us
    • In exodus, Israel was to follow God’s lead (pillar of cloud/fire).
    • When God goes, we go. When God stops, we stop. In what areas of your life are you dragging your feet when God is moving? In what areas of life are you impatient and trying to go ahead of God at your own pace and in your own way?

Pray for the world

  • Pray for Afghanistan. Pray for peace in Afghanistan.  Pray that different countries can safely withdraw their people from Afghanistan.  Pray for the safety of humanitarian workers and Christians.  Pray that Gospel can be preached to the Afghans to bring comfort and peace to this war-torn nation.
  • Pray for Abortion.  The leading cause of death worldwide in 2019 and 2020 has been abortion.  In fact, around 42 million abortions occurred in 2020.  In that same year, countries like Argentina and South Korea passed policies and laws that gave greater permissiveness for abortions, contributing to the increase in abortions.  Pray for this generation to repent and consider the preciousness of life at conception.  Pray that abortions would decrease as people acknowledge God as the giver of life.
