Title: Job’s Problems
Passage: Job 19:25-26、Romans 8:28
25 I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth. 26 And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God;
28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Announcements
- Construction: Praise the Lord! The renovation of bathrooms in the main sanctuary and English chapel has been completed and available to use from today. We are still short of nearly $39,000 for the total expense. Please continue to pray and support this project with offerings with “Building” in the memo.
- Department Report: Mission Department has been renamed to “Glocal Outreach” Department while keeping the original Chinese naming.
- Recruitment: Pastoral office is now recruiting student ministry assistants for a paid position. The job posting is available on tinyurl.com/HLASMA
- Baptism Class: Now the baptism classes for Thanksgiving Sunday (11/21) are ongoing. Please pray for those who are preparing to be baptized on this occasion.
- Winter Retreat 2021: The regular deadline has passed but we are still taking late registrations. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. We encourage all our church families to sign up for this opportunity to bond. Prayer Requests
Pray for Our Church (EFCLA)
- Pray for New Believers. Pray for those ten plus people receiving their baptism on Thanksgiving Sunday. Pray that the Lord would strengthen their faith, and have them receive training for sharing the gospel with the lost.
- Pray for Happiness Groups. This season’s Happiness Group Ministries will end before Thanksgiving. Pray that all the Happiness Group teams would receive special blessings from above as to have strength upon strength and joy upon joy.
- Pray for the Sick. Pray for those who are sick. Pray that the Lord would heal them and restore their health.
Pray for the world
- Pray for COVID-19. Pray for those infected with COVID-19 to experience God’s healing through the care of doctors and nurses. Pray for those who suffer from financial loss to have provision from God and those who are emotionally distressed to have peace from God.
- Pray for the US. Mass shooting have been on the rise in the United States. The first half of this year has already seen more than three hundred mass shootings that caused around 370 deaths, which is fifty percent more than this time last year. Pray for protection upon those who are most vulnerable to these shootings and for violence to cease as those caught up in hatred, anger, and contempt are transformed by the gospel.
