Announcements

  1. Children’s Congregation:
    1) Today there is a Lunar New Year Celebration from 12:35 to 2:00pm in the courtyard. We welcome you with occasional desserts and activities such as kids games and calligraphy. Students and children will receive a red envelope.
    2) 2/13 (Next Sunday) There will be a Sunday school teacher and helper training for Spring quarter from 12:45 to 2:00pm on the 2nd floor of CC building.
    3) 2/20 (Sun) There will be an orientation for Summer VBS and El Cajon Mission on the 2nd floor of CC building. Please come and join us. You can also reach out to CC Director Ruth (ext. 16) for more details.
  2. Hospitality: We now need more church families to join the welcome team to greet and serve new friends. Please contact Chi or Charlene if you can serve as ushers. Thank you!
  3. Precaution: Recently the Omicron variant has caused the surge of numbers in COVID confirmed cases. Please follow California’s CDC guidelines to wear the mask the whole time during our church gatherings. If you happened to be infected and tested positive, please follow the rules of quarantine and notify your fellowship advisor or zone pastor so that we can be your support. Thank you.

Prayer Requests

Pray for Our Church (EFCLA)

  • Pray for Operation Ministries.  Pray for Elder Leo Wu, Deacon Charlene Chen, Dave Chuang, Irene Tsai, Steven Wu, and Tony Yee.  Pray that they can manage the hardware and software facilities in the church more effectively and properly as well as maintenance work. Please also pray that we can find an administrative officer soon.
  • Pray for Revival Prayer Group.  Pray for the Revival Prayer Group RPG (Revival Prayer Group) promoted by the church this year, looking forward to implementing it in fellowships and groups, and helping brothers and sisters to build spiritual companions.
  • Pray for the Sick. Pray for those who are sick or infected. Pray that the Lord would heal them and restore their health. 

Pray for the world

  • Pray for COVID.  Praise God for His divine protection during this COVID pandemic, we thank God that Omicron appears to be losing its power. May the Lord continue to protect all of us, especially the vulnerable old and the young.  May our father God give us strength and wisdom to navigate this pandemic so we can be a good steward of His house and a shining witness for God’s kingdom.
  • Pray for Puerto Rico.  Puerto Rico is an island in the Caribbean Sea and a self-governing commonwealth in association with the United States. Crime is rampant on the island, and poverty and unemployment rates are high. More than 45% of residents do not meet the minimum standard of living. Many local people immigrated to the United States, and the population is gradually decreasing. Let’s pray for Puerto Rico that the Lord will break the cycle of corruption and poverty and make this place a land of hope.
