Title: Faith that heals

Passage: Luke 18:8, Mark 5:34, Hebrews 11:1

Announcements

  1. Children’s Congregation:
    1) Children’s baptism class will be at 3/13, 3/20 and 3/27 for 3 consecutive Sundays from 12:30-1:30pm in the classroom on the 2nd floor. 4/17 (Easter Sunday) is the day for baptism. Parents of children who are willing to be baptized, please sign up with CC Director Ruth(ext.16).
    2) Vacation Bible School (VBS) needs volunteers to prepare dinner for 80 people (6/13-17).
    3) Short-term Mission Teams for El Cajon (6/27-7/1) & Roma Ministry in Serbia (7/29-8/7) are also recruiting team members. Please contact CC Director Ruth for details. 
  2. Church Meeting: 
    1) Council Meeting will be held on today(Sun) 1:30pm at English Chapel.  Pastors, ministers, elders, deacons are all invited to participate.
    2) The Elder Board meeting will be right after the previous meeting.
  3. Rose Hills Memorial Park: In order to raise funds for church renovation and ministries, the church plans to release the plots to members for purchase with a discount rate lower than the market price. Details about the land and related services will be given at 1:30pm on 3/20 in the fellowship hall (dining hall). Please contact Robert Lin at 626-319-9275 if you are interested.
  4. Happiness Group: 
    1)3/20 and 27 will be the preparatory weeks and the happiness outreach will start from 4/3-5/22. Please plan for your fellowship.
    2) Renewal Camp will be held 3/26 (Sat) 10:00am-4:00pm in the main sanctuary.
    3) 3/27 (Sunday) at 1:30 pm in the fellowship hall (dining hall) to hold a happiness group training session.
  5. Recruitment: The church has an urgent need to hire a financial staff and facility manager to be responsible for our church campus. If you are interested, please contact Lydia Wang (Huiling@efcla.org). Brothers and sisters are welcome to recommend good candidates and keep this in your prayers. Thank you.
  6. Hospitality: We now need more church families to join the welcome team to greet and serve new friends. Please contact Chi or Charlene if you can serve as ushers. Thank you!
  7. Easter Baptism: For those who would like to be baptized on Easter (4/17), please reach out to your advisors, fellowship leaders, or pastors for more in-formation. We will have a series of Baptism Class planned for you in upcoming months. If you have any questions about the schedule or Christian faith, feel free to contact us.

Prayer Requests

Pray for Our Church (EFCLA)

  • Pray for Happiness Group.  The Spring Happiness Group is from Mar 20 to June 12. Also, we have the revival camp on Mar 26, and the Happiness Group Training on Mar 27.  Pray that every fellowship/ small group would form its Happiness Group to reach out.  .
  • Pray for Evergreen Ministries. Our Evergreen Academy meets at our campus every Tuesday. Among the twenty-some students, many of them are seekers. Pray for Principle Ming Yeh, his wife Judy Lin, and their team would lead the seekers to Christ through different activities and programs.
  • Pray for the Sick. Pray for those who are sick or infected. Pray that the Lord would heal them and restore their health. 

Pray for the world

  • Pray for Ukraine Refugees.  Two weeks after the Russia-Ukraine conflict broke out.  There have been more than a million of Ukraine fled to the neighboring countries.  Pray for the safety, food supplies, and lodging of these Ukrainian refugees.  Pray that countries around the globe, especially the European countries, would reach out to the Ukraine refugees.
  • Pray for Eritrea.  Although about half of Eritrea’s population is considered Christian, those who are not from a state approved denomination face persecution from government and from state-approved churches.  Phone calls are monitored, house churches are raided, and many Christians are held prisons under inhumane conditions.  Despite such circumstances, believers continue sharing the gospel.  Pray for them to be steadfast in their faith and for God’s providence over them
