Title: Father and Son
Passage: 2 Samuel 7:14-16 (NLT)
14 I will be his father, and he will be my son. If he sins, I will correct and discipline him with the rod, like any father would do. 15 But my favor will not be taken from him as I took it from Saul, whom I removed from your sight. 16 Your house and your kingdom will continue before me for all time, and your throne will be secure forever.
Announcements
- Pastoral Office Announcement: Praise the Lord! Rev. Jacky Yang’s term as the pastor of HarvestLA was renewed in the church council meeting last Sunday. Let us keep him and his family in our prayers as we work on our ministries together for the kingdom of God.
- Announcement: We will be distributing Mother’s Day gift photo mugs and Father’s Day gifts in the courtyard after service on 6/26. Please stop by to pick them up.
- Father’s Day Sunday (Today): HarvestLA is holding an outdoor service at 10:30am with potluck and BBQ for lunch at Live Oak Park, Temple City. THERE WILL be NO on-site service at English Chapel. We will have sports fun and a softball tournament in the afternoon. Please invite your family and friends to come and join us!
- Children’s Congregation: 1) Hiring child caregivers for Friday and Saturday eve-nings, as a paid job. 2) Children Ministry will hold baptisms in the church atrium from 1-3 pm on 6/26 (next Sunday). For details, please contact Director Ruth (x16).
- Hospitality: We now need more church families to join the welcome team to greet and serve new friends as ushers. Please contact Chi or Charlene if you can serve as ushers. Thank you!

Prayer Requests
Pray for Our Church (EFCLA)
- Pray for Baptism. Pray for those (four from C.C. and one from Harvest) who are receiving their baptismal class to have a clear idea about the Chris-tian faith before they receive their baptism.
- Pray for El Cajon STM. Pray for our El Cajon Short Term Mission on 6/27-7/01. Pray that God will bless us with a united heart during the short-term mission, protect the physical and mental health of all team members, and make the journey safe and smooth. May God lead the team to establish a good relationship with the people and children of the local community, to bring the love of Christ to them through activities, and have the opportunity to lead them to know Jesus.
- Pray for the Sick. Pray for those who are sick. Pray that the Lord would heal them and restore their health.
Pray for the world
- Pray for the US. Under the impact of the epidemic in the past two years, the US society, public security and economy have been severely impacted. Many businesses and shops are closed; robbery, violence, and shooting incidents continue to occur. Insufficient police force, social disorder, severe inflation, and rising prices have caused many serious social problems. Please pray for the American society, that the people can return to Christ, know Jesus, for new changes in this society because of the love of Christ.
- Pray for Salvador. El Salvador has the highest murder rate in the world, gangs run rampant, many young people are addicted to violence, drugs, sex crimes. Evangelical Christians only made up 2 % of the nation’s population in the 1960s, it has increased to about 21% today. Pray that the Lord make them light and salt, let the gospel flourish again in El Salvador.
