Announcements
- Children’s Congregation: Today from 12:45-2:00pm there will be a teacher and teaching assistant training session for the Winter semester (Dec-Feb) at CM 2nd floor.
- December Devotional Materials: Brothers and sisters who have subscribed to “Living Life”, please pick it up at the church office.
- New Member: The elder board approved James Tong’s membership application last Sunday. Welcome to join the HarvestLA/EFCLA family!
- Facility: 11/24 (Thanksgiving Day) and 25 (Friday) our church office will be closed due to Thanksgiving.
- Town Hall Meeting: HarvestLA would like to host a town hall on 11/27 (Sun) from 1-2:30pm to cast vision for our congregation regarding future ministries while opening a discussion for church families to share their thoughts and expectations for the church. Refreshments will be prepared so please stay and participate after worship service.
- Courtyard Renovation: The renovation of North Courtyard is near completion. We have raised $44,528.44 so far for the estimated budget ($80,000). Please continue to pray for this project and the necessary funds. (Memo: Courtyard).
- Winter Retreat 2022: Theme is “Rooted and Life Forward” this year to encourage the participants to ponder on their faith and relationship with God. Early bird registration is over but the regular rate is still valid till Today. Winter retreat has been an opportunity for many students to encounter God and build up their faith in past years. If you feel convicted to sponsor those who are in need of financial aid, please give your offering with a memo “winter retreat”.
- Annual Coworker Appreciation Dinner: Our church’s annual coworker appreciation dinner will be held on 12/18 (Sunday) 5pm at church. Elders, deacons, advisors, coordinators, worship, and tech teams are all invited. Please let Pastor Jacky know the number of your family members that will attend as well by 12/10.

Prayer Requests
Pray for Our Church (EFCLA)
- Pray Student Ministries. Pr. Sam Ning recently reached out students in Citrus College by Alpha course. Pray that many students would come to the Lord through this outreach. Pray that the Lord would raise up leaders to work with Pr. Sam to train and minister to those students.
- Pray for Outreach Ministries. Three people will receive their baptism, and one his confirmation in the worship service of Nov. 27. Pray that the Lord would strengthen their faith. Also, they would receive their equipping, grow in their faith, and be ready to reach out to their family and friends soon.
- Pray for the Sick. Pray that the Lord would heal those who are sick and restore their heath and strength.
Pray for the world
- Pray for Central Asia Ministries. Rev. Daniel Chang, a missionary to Central Asia that we support, reported that in Kyrgyzstan, inflation and anti-pandemic measures result in the cost of his relief ministries skyrocketing, but the number of needy people increase significantly. Pray that the Lord would provide our financial need for the relief ministries. Pray that we may share the gospel, which saves life, with people while providing their physical needs.
- Pray for Bhutan. Violence against Christians in Bhutan is on ethe rise. Buddhism is an essential part of Bhutanese culture. Anyone who converts to Christianity is considered to bring shame upon their family and is put under intense pressure to return to Buddhism. Bhutan’s government does not officially recognize any Christian churches, so gathering t worship is illegal. Pray for religious freedom in Bhutan. Pray that believers who have been disowned by their families will find love and acceptance with new communities of faith.
