Announcements
- Courtyard Renovation: The renovation of North Courtyard is near completion. The comma in the amount should be fixed to $45,868.44 for the estimated budget ($80,000). Please continue to pray for this project and the necessary funds. (Memo: Courtyard).
- Winter Retreat 2022: “Rooted and Life Forward” is the theme this year. We encourage the participants to ponder on their faith and relationship with God. Please make payment to the church with Zelle or check (bring to our registrar Jimmy) with the amount according to the date you registered with $80 subsi-dies for students if it applies with a memo “winter retreat – [name(s) of partici-pant(s)]”.
- Free Calendar: Care department has printed the calendars for the year 2023 as a gift to our church family. Please pick up one for each household after the Sunday worship service on 12/18.
- Annual Coworker Appreciation Dinner: Our church’s annual coworker appreci-ation dinner will be held on 12/18 (Sunday) 5pm at church. Elders, deacons, advisors, coordinators, worship, and tech teams are all invited. Please let Pas-tor Jacky know the number of your family members that will attend as well by 12/10.
- Christmas Celebration:
1) On 12/23 (Fri) we will have a Christmas potluck and celebration for FNF from 7pm. More details to come.2) 12/24 (Sat) there will be a candlelight service at 7pm in the main sanctuary. Please invite your family and friends to come and celebrate Jesus’ birth.3) Christmas Sunday is 12/25 for joint worship service at 10:30am.
- Reimbursement: If any coworker or fellowship has prepaid expenses for the church, please bring the receipts to the department elders ASAP before clos-ing accounting books at the end of the fiscal year.
- Mailbox: Next year there will be a rearrangement for the mailbox in the Pasto-ral Office. Please take away everything from the box by 12/25. Thank you for your cooperation.

Prayer Requests
Pray for Our Church (EFCLA)
- Pray for the year-end thanksgiving dinner. On the afternoon of 12/18, a year-end Thanksgiving dinner will be held at the church. The church pastors, elders, deacons, and pastoral staff of the fellowship groups will participate. The 3-year epidemic has brought many challenges to the pastoral work of the church. Thank all the staff for their love, and dedication. Pray that everyone can share together, count God’s grace, encourage each other on the road of service.
- Pray for Harvest LA. The Town Hall Meeting was held on 11/27, pastors and advisors listened to the spiritual needs and pastoral advice of the brothers and sisters. Pray that the Holy Spirit inspires our pastoral team to have a unified vision, respond and improve in a targeted manner, and help brothers and sisters in Harvest LA to have a breakthrough in spiritual growth in the new year.
- Pray for Choir Ministries. Pray for our adult and children’s choirs. They are rehearsing this Christmas’s musical service. Pray that the Lord would strengthen conductor Laura when training our choirs.
- Pray for the Sick. Pray that the Lord would heal those who are sick and restore their heath and strength.
Pray for the world
- Pray for Southeast Asia. Due to the increasing production of methamphetamine in Southeast Asia, the price has plummeted and it is easier to obtain. This has led to the distribution of methamphetamine to Australia and New Zealand, where illegal transactions have also begun to prevail. May the Lord give the governments of all countries the wisdom to take precautions, so that people will no longer pursue illegal money temptations and enjoyments, and turn back to God from the sinful path.
