Announcements

  • Church Meeting (Today):
    1) Council Meeting will be held on 3/12 (Sun) 1:30pm at English Chapel. Pastors, ministers, elders, deacons are all invited to participate.
    2) The Elder Board meeting will be right after the previous meeting.
  • Children’s Congregation (3/17): Easter is 4/9 this year and the baptism classes will be held online from 7-8pm on 3/17, 24, 31 and 4/7.  If your children are considering to be baptized, please sign up with Director Ruth (ex.16) ASAP.
  • Memorial Service (4/1): EFC General Assembly and EFC Foundation will work together and host the 2023 Memorial Service at Hua Yuan Chapel, Rose Hills, on 4/1 Saturday from 10am-12pm. Welcome everyone come to this event together. Details, please contact EFC Foundation: Jennifer at 909-671-6572.
  • Easter Baptism (4/9): For those who would like to be baptized on Easter this year, please reach out to your advisors, fellowship leaders, or pastors. We will have a series of Baptism Class planned for you in March. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Pastor Jacky.
  • SoCal Prayer Conference (5/19): The Southern California Prayer Conference and Revival Prayer Groups (RPG) are dedicated to revival prayer on 5/19 (Fri) 7:30-9:30, 5/20 (Sat) 2:00-5:30pm. Group registration (10 people or more): $10/person.  Child care registration required. Please sign up with church office.  Through small groups, we will ignite the heart of the church, walk in Godly unity and establish an army of prayer warriors. 
  • Lunch Ministry: The annual cost of meals provided by the Church is approximately $80,000 ($180/person/year).  Please pray for the ministry as we encourage all to join in-person service and fellowship with new friends.  When supporting financially, please note “lunch” under memo section.
  • Turkey Earthquake Relief Fund: In wake of Turkey earthquake causing tens of thousands of loss lives, we encourage prayer and financial support.  Please note “Turkey Earthquake Relief” under memo section when you give.  All donations received through the end of March will be sent to Habibi International for further process in relief efforts.
  • Operation Department: The office tenant in the southwest corner of the church, Micro-Gage, is about to relocate, so the church will start renting out that office space. May the Lord lead us to find suitable new tenants.

Prayer Requests

Pray for Our Church (EFCLA)

  • Pray for the care ministry of the church. The care department of the church has had a lot of renewal and training this year. Many new friends and families have attended the Chinese and English worship services recently. Pray that all the brothers and sisters will have welcoming and hospitable love to greet, care for, and follow up with new friends. Pray that our new friends will be able to feel the warmth of home, and prepare their hearts to know and seek Jesus.
  • Pray for Outreach Ministry.
    A) We are starting Happiness Group on March 5th. There is one combined group in church and one family group. May God give us more strength, faith and love that can help us to continue inviting new friends. Pray that we will have sufficient coworkers to run the program.
    B) Pray for the “D2B” ministry. Some brothers and sisters have already invited friends and family to the D2B lesson. May the Lord give us a faithful heart to use the D2B lesson to lead these people to become believers.
  • Pray for the Sick. Pray that the Lord would heal those who are sick and restore their heath and strength.

Pray for The World

  • Pray for Turkey and Syria. Pray for the resettlement and reconstruction after the earthquake in Tur-key and Syria. After the earthquake in Turkey on February 6, another earthquake of 5.6 magnitude occurred in southeastern Turkey on February 27. The two earthquakes caused Turkey more than $34 billion in damage and 1.75 million people were left homeless. Due to the bad weather in the area, frequent aftershocks caused difficulties in reconstruction and resettlement of the affected people. May God be merciful to Turkey, so that God’s love can greatly fill this country and comfort people’s fears and worries.
