Prayer Requests

PRAY FOR OUR CHURCH (EFCLA)

  • Pray for VBS and Summer Short Term Mission Trip. Please pray for the VBS to be held from 6/12-16. Pray that God will lead parents and children to know God through the VBS program. In addition, pray for the Short Term Mission team that will go to Kyrgyzstan 6/22, Taichung, Taiwan7/1, and El Cajon from 7/31-8/4. May Lord give them faith and strength, so that they can be bold to share the gospel and serve people in different cultural; may the team have a united heart to serve the Lord.
  • Pray for recent Covid-19 spreading in Asia. May the Lord heal and have mercy! Recently, Covid-19 still spread in Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, and other places has also peaked again. We declare that the whole world belongs to the Lord Jesus. We hope that all confirmed patients will experience the power of the Lord’s healing. Pray that the Lord will control the spread of Covid-19 from spreading when international traffic is frequent. We declare: Lord Jesus, you are the greatest doctor, we proclaim that whoever asked will cover with Your precious blood, and let the enemy and the power of disease go away completely!
  • Pray for the sick. Pray that Lord would heal those who are sick and restore their health and strength.

PRAY FOR THE WORLD

  • Pray for Racial Conflicts in India. Racial conflict in India turned into persecution, pray for the peace of the local Church. A series of clashes erupted on the 3rd in Manipur, in northeastern India, near Myanmar, killing more than 60 people, injuring 300, displacing 35,000, and burning 50 churches. Manipur has had racial divisions and violence for years. Pray for the families of the victims and the wounded, we pray that the Lord heals their bodies and minds, and strengthens the local church to spread the good news of the Lord Jesus. May the Lord bless the local government, balance the rights and interests between races and religions, and pray for the repentance of local Christians.
  • Pray for Cyberbullying and Addiction. Cyberbullying/addiction seriously affects children’s mental health. During the pandemic, whether it is studying, work, peer communication, or shopping, people use the Internet to meet their daily needs, and social media can be said to be indispensable. But at the same time, the problem of “cyberbullying” is emerging all over the world, which seriously affects the mental health and safety of children. A recent survey by CDC shows that 44% of high school students feel hopeless for almost two consecutive weeks, and more than half of young girls feel sad for a long time. The number is at a new high in 10 years. According to a Pew Research report, nearly half of young people are almost constantly online on social media. Pray that the Lord will give wisdom to the government and parents to prevent children from becoming addicted to social media and falling into the problem of cyberbullying. May the Holy Spirit of the Lord personally work on children, heal mental illnesses, and allow them to re-establish normal social relationships.
