Announcements
- Devotional Material: January 2024’s “Living Life” is available at the church office for pickup.
- New Year Worship Night (12/31): We are going to celebrate the end of 2023 with worship, prayer, reflection, and sharing on the last day of the year. Refreshments and light snacks will be prepared from 6:30 pm and the event will start from 8:00 pm till 12:30 am. Please invite your friends and family to join us for this wonderful occasion to welcome 2024 altogether with our church family! Here is the RSVP form (https://bit.ly/hla-ny-eve-23).
- Church Lunch Service: Praise God, we currently received $77,832.55 for our lunch fund. If you would like to make a special donation for lunch through a check or cash offering, please use the church offering envelope and indicate “lunch” in the memo.
- Reimbursement: If any coworker or fellowship has prepaid expenses for the church, please bring the receipts to the department elders ASAP before closing accounting books at the end of the fiscal year.
- Mailbox: Next year there will be a rearrangement for the mailbox in the Pastoral Office. Please take away everything from the box by 12/31. Thank you for your cooperation.
- Installation (1/7): New coworkers, deacons, and elders’ installation will occur in the worship service on Sunday 1/7/2024. Praise the Lord for their hearts to serve God’s church. Let us pray for our new church leadership.
- Expanded Council Meeting (1/7): EFCLA’s expanded council meeting will be held on 1/7/2024 at 1:30 pm at the English chapel. For all pastors, zone pastors, staff, elders, deacons, advisors, chairmen, and small group leaders, please re-serve your time for this meeting.
- Children’s Congregation (1/14): The children’s choir will resume regular practice on 1/14/2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. Parents of interested children are encouraged to contact Director Ruth for details and registration.”
- In-person Wednesday Prayer Meeting (1/31): Starting from 1/31/2024, the Wednesday prayer meeting will be held in person on the last week of each month at 7:30pm in English Hall. All are invited to worship, praise, and pray together.
- Agape Education Center: The Montessori School is starting to recruit students aged 2-6 years old. If you want more information or to visit the school, please contact 626-450-7686 to leave a message.

Prayer Requests
PRAY FOR OUR CHURCH (EFCLA)
- Pray for who will be baptized. There are brothers,Pray for who will be baptized. There are brothers and sisters have decided to follow Jesus will be baptized in 12/31. May God help them grow in truth and love, gradually mature in spiritual lives. Pray that they will be filled with Holy Spirit and have the ability to testify for the Lord.
- Pray for New Year Worship Night. On the last day of this year, we invite brothers and sisters to join us for worship as well as to reflect on the blessings and lessons God had for us in 2023. Pray for the planners and worship team, also for the friends and family that will participate. Pray that we will encounter God’s love and guidance in the time of worship.
- Pray for Newcomers. Pray for those who come to our church recently, some are already Christians looking for a suitable church, and some are unbelievers. Pray for them to be willing to seek God’s word and like to stay and make church their home. Pray also that they would join any groups besides Sunday service for a normal Christian life.
- Pray for the Sick. Pray that the Lord would heal those who are ill and re-store their health and strength.
PRAY FOR THE WORLD
- Pray for Church in the US. Pray that the church would find a new zeal and commitment to the mission and purpose of Jesus Christ. There is unity with and among churches that reveals God’s love for the world. Also, God’s people are upright. They would look and act differently from the world.
