Announcements
- Church Announcement: The Church board joyfully announces the approval of Pastor Benson Wang’s tenure for another five years, until May 2029. We ex-press our heartfelt gratitude to the Lord for His guidance and provision in this decision.
- Glocal Outreach (Today): A briefing for the “7/29-8/2 Summer English Character Camp” and the “8/6-10 Visitation trip” will be held this Sunday at 1:30 PM in the English chapel. Attendance is mandatory for those registered or interested in short-term missions on the West Coast.
- One Church Day (4/20): Join us at Live Oak Park from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM on April 20th (Saturday). Visit our official website www.harvestLA.org to complete the registration form.
- Children Congregation (4/21):
1) Upcoming 7th graders will join HarvestLA services every 3rd Sunday– Next Sunday.
2) Mark your calendars for our exciting Vacation Bible School (VBS) from June 10th to 14th, 5:30-8:40 PM, located on the 2nd floor of the CC Building. VBS is open to children and youth aged 4-12, with a registration fee of $30 covering dinner, a t-shirt, and craft materials. Heart Keeper will provide coffee times for parents. For further details, kindly register at EFCLA.org or reach out to Director Ruth (ext.16).
- Mother’s Day (5/12): Join us for a joint worship service at 10:30 AM in the main sanctuary to celebrate Mother’s Day. The Care department will present a gift to every mother afterward. Lunch boxes will be provided.
- Equipment Department: Adult/Youth Sunday School will be paused on Mother’s Day (5/12) as we commemorate Mother’s Day.
- Church Lunch Offering: The estimated annual cost for church lunches is $200 per person, approximately $20 per month. Label your offering “Lunch” in the donation memo.
- Main sanctuary LED screen project: The main sanctuary LED screen has been upgraded ($70,000). Thank you for your support; we’ve received $23,000 and still need $47,000. To donate, please label it “LED SCREEN” in the donation memo.
- Upcoming: Holy Communion (5/5)
Prayer Requests
PRAY FOR OUR CHURCH (EFCLA)
- Pray for the implementation of the church’s vision. May the Lord to inspire the faith, hope and love of the brothers and sisters in the church, and to act together toward the vision of preaching the gospel, making disciples, loving each other and caring for our communities.
- Pray for Outreach Groups. May the Lord grant them unity and faith when preaching the gospel. Pray for the seekers to continue to participate and accept Jesus Christ as the Lord of their lives.
- Pray for the church’s One Church Day event. Ask the Lord to use the One Church Day event to connect brothers and sisters in different congregations. Ask the Lord to protect the weather, venue, service staff and various preparations for One Church day that day, and that all preparations will go smoothly. The brothers and sisters in the church can participate as much as possible on that day, so that this event can make the church more unified and love and understand each other more.
- Pray for the Sick. Pray that the Lord would heal those who are sick and re-store their health and strength.
PRAY FOR THE WORLD
- Pray for Guatemala. Guatemala is a country with a large gap between rich and poor. More than 50% of its citizens are living in poverty. The proportion of citizens under the age of 30 is high and there are many orphans among them. There are also many people who cannot receive formal education due to poverty. Ask the Lord to have mercy on Guatemala and help them enjoy and experience the fullness of the gospel.
