Prayer Requests
PRAY FOR OUR CHURCH (EFCLA)
- Pray for the Church. In Jesus’ name, we ask the Lord to remove the lukewarm and complacency within the church, to remove the weakening of the Gospel, the pursuit of entertainment above all else, and the spirit of prayerlessness. For when salt loses its flavor, sin, and corruption begin to infect and consume our souls. When the light is extinguished, evil and decay continue to hide in the shadows, manipulating from behind the scenes, causing the wandering and lost to drift further away from the beacon of truth. Please pray for the role that EFCLA plays in the community. May the Lord use our church, revive it, and continue to make it a lampstand for the Gospel in the San Gabriel Valley.
- Pray for our upcoming VBS. The church will be holding Vacation Bible School from June 16 to 20. Not only are the children of the church invited to attend, but we also hope to attract children from the community to come, get to know Jesus and experience His love. May the Lord personally move and guide, so that every child who steps into the church will hear the good news of the Gospel and have the seed of faith planted in their hearts. We also pray that after the program, the children will be willing to continue coming to church and that their parents will be led to come along with them.
- Prayer for graduates of 2025. It’s graduation season once again. We lift up in prayer both the little ones taking their first steps out of kindergarten and the confident young adults bidding farewell to their college years. We declare that graduation is not merely the end of an academic journey, but the beginning of a new chapter in life. We pray that God will pour out abundant blessings on every graduate, opening a new page in their lives. May He grant them the courage to pursue great dreams, achieve their goals, and bring glory to His name. When the future feels uncertain, may they replace fear and anxiety with faith, knowing that God has already accomplished and prepared everything for them—and that He has an amazing plan for each one.
- Pray for the Sick. Pray that the Lord would heal those who are sick and restore their health and strength.
PRAY FOR THE WORLD
- Pray for the national situation in South Korea following the presidential by-election. May God reign sovereignly, bringing greater unity among po-litical parties after the election. May the newly appointed leader have a heart that fears the Lord and walk in righteousness and integrity. We ask the Lord to grant wisdom to the governing team as they face domestic and international challenges and social pressures. May God raise up the church to stand in the gap and intercede for the nation, so that South Korea may experience His peace and guidance in this time of transition.
