Church Announcement: On April 27, the church approved Rev. Johnson to serve as Acting Senior Pastor from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. Pastor Benson is officially passing on his responsibilities to Pastor Johnson this Sunday as Pastor Johnson steps into the role of Acting Senior Pastor. We are deeply grateful for Pastor Benson’s faithful leadership and service over the past 35 years, and pray for we ask the congregation to continue praying for Pastor Johnson as he begins this new season of leadership. May the Lord guide and strengthen him in shepherding our church.
Devotional Material: July 2025’s Living Life is now available for pickup at the church office.
Church Meeting (Today 6/22):
(1) The Council Meeting will be held TODAY at 1:30 pm at the English Chapel. Pastors, ministers, elders, deacons, all are invited to participate.
(2) The church board meeting will follow immediately after for pastors and elders.
EFCLA Celebrates 55th Anniversary: In celebration of EFCLA’s 55th anniversary, we will be creating a commemorative wall made up of individually decorated tiles contributed by brothers and sisters. You are invited to participate by purchasing and decorating a tile. Available tile sizes: 12×12 inches ($80), 6×6 inches ($30). We encourage everyone to take part in this commemorative wall project! To purchase a tile, please contact the church office. The deadline is June 29, 2025.

PRAY FOR OUR CHURCH (EFCLA)

Pray for Mid-Week Prayer Meeting. May God raise up brothers and sisters to join our mid-week prayer meeting. May God help us cultivate the habit of gathering together to pray every Wednesday night. Pray that the Lord helps us to set aside time to gather and pray regularly. May God also let us see the results of prayer so that we can be more committed to prayer.
Pray for Church Leaders. Please pray for every pastor and elder in the church, asking God to bless them with a good relationship with God and to be role models for their brothers and sisters in life and service. Pray that the Lord would give them wisdom to make decisions that are in line with God’s will in the development of the church, and ask God to give them the strength to lead their brothers and sisters to fulfill the vision God has given to His church.
Pray for STM Teams. Pray for our El Cajon, Taiwan, Taiwan West Coast, and Japan STM teams. We pray the Lord would use their lives testimonies to show people His love for all people, and through activities and words to share gospel with the people. Pray that the Lord would use them to bring multitude to Him.
Pray for the Sick. Pray for the brothers and sisters you know who are in poor health, and ask God to heal them and restore them to good health.

PRAY FOR THE WORLD

Pray for Gambia. The Gambia is considered a melting pot of various West African ethnic groups. While the majority of Gambians are Muslim, there is little conflict between Muslims and Christians. The nation struggles with a high poverty rate and various health issues. Few Christians are motivated to go out into more rural areas and minister to their Muslim neighbors. Pray for God to stir up believers to go and minister to those who do not yet know Jesus. Praise God for a growing Christian presence throughout the nation.
