PRAY FOR OUR CHURCH (EFCLA)
- Pray for our church. This year marks the 55th anniversary of our church. Let us pray that the Lord would lead our church to not only desire knowledge of the faith, but also to long for the transformation of life that true faith brings. May our church care not only about whether someone is saved, but also about how they are truly doing. May we be willing to step into the communities where we live, to care for the needs of the people around us, and to reflect on what answers our church can offer. Through church and small group gatherings, may we come together to let Jesus ad-dress the challenges in our lives.
- Pray for every couple in the church. We lift up every couple in the church. God designed marriage with such a beautiful purpose—that two very different people would learn to love each other through it. We know it’s not always easy, but we ask the Lord to help each couple turn to Him when they face challenges. May He give them wisdom to communicate well, bring healing to any hurts, and rekindle their love so they can enjoy the sweetness of marriage again. We also ask that any broken or hurting relationships be restored and reconciled in Christ, and that every home would be filled with His peace and joy.
Pray for the second-half season of the Happiness Groups. The second-half season of the Happiness Groups is about to begin. We pray for all the group leaders and co-workers. We also lift up the upcoming season of these groups, asking the Lord to raise up more people who are willing to pay the price for the gospel. May He, according to His will, help many who are lost to come to know the gospel, enter the church, and have their identities transformed as children of God.
Pray for the Sick. Please pray for Danielle’s recovery after brain surgery. Pray for the brothers and sisters you know who are in poor health, and ask God to heal them and restore them to good health.
PRAY FOR THE WORLD
- Pray for America. A major shooting incident occurred on August 27 at a Catholic school in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During the morning Mass, the shooter fired dozens of rounds at the stained glass windows inside the school chapel, resulting in 3 deaths (including the shooter) and 17 injuries, most of them children. Let us remember these families and children in our prayers. May the Lord bring healing to the wounded children and their parents.
