Est. October 2, 1970 in Los Angeles, EFC (Evangelical Formosan Church) grew from a small handful of Chinese and Taiwanese church members, primarily consisted of graduate students, young couples and young families from Taiwan and China recognizing the need for the spiritual growth of the second generation, leaders have transitioned and added an English only service which is now the current English congregation and overtime, throughout Southern California, more EFC English services started.

Around 1988, the English congregation changed its name to “Harvest Los Angeles, the English Congregation of EFCLA”, or Harvest LA, for short.

Harvest was chosen because it conveyed its mission as both a noun and a verb in reaching people and sharing the gospel

May God continue to be with Harvest LA, its calling, purpose, and mission to reach the community and around the world
