一﹑本週經文Scriptures: 以弗所書4：12-15 Ephesians

12為要成全聖徒，各盡其職，建立基督的身體， 13直等到我們眾人在真道上同歸於一，認識　神的兒子，得以長大成人，滿有基督長成的身量， 14使我們不再作小孩子，中了人的詭計和欺騙的法術，被一切異教之風搖動，飄來飄去，就隨從各樣的異端； 15惟用愛心說誠實話，凡事長進，連於元首基督。

12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.  14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.  15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.

 

二﹑禱告事項 Prayer Items:

1.為世界禱告：自從年初新冠肺炎流行以來，許多的實驗室正在研究治療病毒性傳染病的方法，他們希望研究的成果能幫助人類應付以後的病毒性傳染病。雖然病毒的流傳無從完全遏止，但是科學家的研究成果能幫助我們有效預防或延緩病毒的傳播。求神祝福這些科學家的研究工作，使他們研究的成果能預防、幫助人類對付下一次類似的病毒性流行疾病。

Pray for the World.  Ever since COVID-19 became a pandemic, countless laboratories have been testing specimens hoping to find a solution.  As these scientists study the activity of COVID-19, they are hoping such knowledge will prepare us for the next viral pandemic.  Though pandemics are unpredictable, scientists’ discoveries can help us prepare and slow them down.  Pray for God to watch over the work of scientists to protect and preserve the world from other such pandemics.

 

2.為華人差傳大會禱告：大會講員楊錫儒牧師住院治療兩週，Wayne Chen牧師的師母接受癌症治療中，影音同工Alex Hui 住院一週後現正在家休養。求神醫治他們，恢復他們身體的健康。

Pray for CMC Global. Please pray for the health of our speaker Rev.  Shi-Ru Yang, who is currently hospitalized for two weeks in Taiwan, the wife of Rev. Wayne Chen who is battling cancer and our A/V co-worker Alex Hui, who is recovering at home after being hospitalized for a week.  May God graciously strengthen their bodies, heal and restore them to good health.

 

3.為長執選舉禱告：新一任長執同工選舉正用通訊投票的方式進行中，投票到11/01截止，求神感動弟兄姊妹在截止日期前寄回他們的選票，選出合神心意的同工服事教會。

Pray for Church Election.  This year’s election of elder and deacon is held by using vote by mail.  The deadline is 11/01.  Pray that people will mail their ballots by the deadline and the candidates can be smoothly confirmed by vote as planned.
