一﹑本週經文Scriptures: 哥林多後書12:9 2 Corinthians
9 他對我說：「我的恩典夠你用的，因為我的能力是在人的軟弱上顯得完全。」所以，我更喜歡誇自己的軟弱，好叫基督的能力覆庇我。
9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
二﹑禱告事項 Prayer Items:
- 為古巴禱告：古巴的主要宗教是基督教，但是有好一段時間一個人公開承認自己是基督徒變得愈來愈困難。從1959年古巴變成一個共產國家以來，政府對異議份子或批評政府的人士嚴加打擊。並且政府禁止新的教會登記成立，沒收原有教會的教產，甚至關閉許多教會。為教會領袖在現實的環境下有智慧並靈活有彈性，而信徒在信仰上站立得穩禱告。
Pray for Cuba. Although Cuba’s main religion is Christianity, it has been getting harder to profess the Christian faith for some time. Cuba has been a communist state since 1959, and from then on, the government has been harsh on those who oppose or criticize them. They have been denying registration to new churches, confiscating church property, and closing down many churches. Pray for the church leaders to be wise and resilient and for believers to stand strong in their faith.
- 為俄烏戰爭禱告：俄羅斯與烏克蘭兩國都是世界上重要的糧食輸出國。俄烏戰爭造成糧食輸出困難，使得特別是中東與非洲部分地區，進口俄烏小麥的國家，糧食價格上漲，民生益發困難。求神憐憫，使戰爭快快止息，免於這些地區糧食短缺造成飢荒的災難。
Pray for the Russia-Ukraine War. Russia and Ukraine are both the major wheat exporting countries in the world. Since the breakout of the Russia-Ukraine War, exporting of wheat has become more difficult or even come to a halt, resulting in the price of food skyrocketing in some countries in the Middle East and Africa, which import wheat primarily from these two countries. Pray that the war end quickly to prevent people from starvation.
- 為宣教培靈會禱告：8/12-13南加州眾教會與海外基督使團（OMF）合辦的「知難而進」宣教培靈會在本教會舉行。求神記念大會講員馮浩鎏醫師，使用祂的僕人激起華人教會對宣教服事的負擔，熱忱與行動。
Pray for Mission Convention. We will hold the S. Cal. Joint Mission Convention at our church venue from Aug 12 to 13. Pray that the Lord would use His servant, Dr. Patrick Fong, to arouse a movement for mission among the Asian American churches.
- 為同工退修會禱告：請為8/20全教會同工退修會的籌備、報名禱告。求神讓教會的牧養、各部門同工們都報名參加這個退修會。求神藉著這個退修會更新同工的靈命，增進同工之間的連結，使同工們更喜樂於服事。
Pray for Co-Worker Retreat. We will hold this year’s co-worker retreat on Aug. 20. Pray that all of our leaders would sign up for this one-day retreat. Pray that the Lord would use this retreat to renew and revive His servants. Also, pray that the bonding of our leaders would improve through this retreat.
- 為肢體禱告：為你所知道身體欠安的弟兄姊妹禱告，求神醫治他們恢復身體的健康。陳鐵雄弟兄住院接受治療中，求神醫治他。
Pray for the Sick. Pray that the Lord would heal those who are sick and restore their heath and strength. Pray also for Brother Peter Chen, who is in hospital.
